As Good as Brand New!
By Shannon Vitt on Reviewed in the United States on October 10, 2024
I'd been wanting an iPad for quite some time, but the cost of the new ones had me hesitant to make a purchase. After tons of research regarding what I wanted out of an iPad, I decided that an older generation version of an iPad Air would be perfect for my individual use. I ordered a 2020 iPad Air 4th Gen that was in "Excellent" condition according to the seller, have been using it for about a month now, and can truly state that I love everything about it. Its condition is near perfect, with only one incredibly small scratch on the back side of the iPad, and even that scratch is almost imperceptible. The iPad was carefully packaged, nicely wrapped in bubble wrap within a box. It came with a charging cable, and as stated within the product description, this charging cable is not an Apple product. It functions perfectly fine with the iPad though and was also nicely packaged and wrapped in bubble wrap. My only note is that there was a small sticker on the back of the iPad that I had to take off with some goo gone cleaner to combat the sticky residue. For the price point of these renewed iPads, I don't think you will find a better deal!

Technically what was advertised
By rdun1 on Reviewed in the United States on November 13, 2022
Overall, I'm pretty happy with it. Packaging was fine, provided charger wasn't the official apple one but works fine, and decent quality. A few things though I didn't like: 1) The biggest one is that there was an inscription on the iPad from the previous owner, "John's iPad Air". Generally I wouldn't care, whatever, it comes with the territory of refurbished products. What rubbed me the wrong way though was that the inscription was behind a sticker placed specifically in that spot that said if you remove this sticker it'll void the warranty. I had already decided to keep it so I removed it, and I don't care about the inscription really, but it still feels a little disingenuous to purposefully place a warranty-voiding sticker right over what could influence someone to not want the product anymore. 2) The product info says specifically that the battery will have at least 80% of the original charge left. I did some battery diagnostics of this iPad and it showed 82% of original battery health. Meets the criteria technically, but be aware you might get one that just barely qualifies. I do notice the battery drains more quickly than I was hoping for. 3) There are some minor scratches on it. Again, somewhat to be expected with a renewed product, and the most significant ones are on the bezel where you won't notice it while just looking at the screen, but it's not perfect by any means.
