This is the only lightbulbs we use at our house. They connect very well with my Alexa and I love them. We have all of our lights named so it’s easy turning on and off lights.

Connection failed- POSSIBLE SOLUTION- It worked for me.
By KC1 on Reviewed in the United States on May 26, 2023
I had problems connecting and the support website does not have these instructions so try this- Apparently with the new technology on these new phones, what was interfering with the connection was that once the smartbulb connects to the wifi, as its connecting, the phone switches from wifi 2.4 to 5g mobile data connection. That's were it fails to connect. So the solution to that problem was that I turned off the mobile data connection on my phone and retried to connect the smartbulb- that worked. Make sure your phone is connecting to 2.4 band; not 5 band, 6 or 6e band. If your router has the capability to connect to triband (2.4, 5, and/or 6 band), make sure your phone is connected to 2.4 ( the smartbulb wifi only connect to 2.4. You can isolate the bands by going to your router settings and make sure you can manually divide the connections so you can connect to the band manually. The default settings on your router will automatically search for the best connection. Sometimes that will not work because it searches for the best connection which will possible automatically connect to 5 band or 6 band. Once you separated the band with will have to name each band and create password for each band. (NOTE- You can have the sane password for each band but each band must have a unique name (cant be the same). What I did created the same name for all 3 bands but added the type of band. i.e: King 2.4, King 5, and King 6). These instructions are NOT in the manual nor in the Sengled support website. I had to figure it out myself. I gave it a rating of 3 because the support website only sent me a link to their instructions that are in the manual. And they refuse to give me their contact phone number. DO NOT ATTEMT TO CHANGE YOUR PORTS FROM THE ROUTER like their support website suggest. This only exposes your router to possible hackers if you dont know what you are doing. Feel free to ask me any questions regarding my instructions if you don't understand what I have written. Another thing to be aware- Connect each bulb individually. Meaning, once you have achieved connecting one bulb, remove it from its socket, and place the next bulb you're trying to connect and follow the steps according to the manual. After completing all the bulbs to that particular room, you may place all the bulbs in their place and try turning them off/on. Make sure the power is on when trying to connect it to the app. Good luck- CAESAR

Perfect smart Wi-Fi light bulbs

Smart Wi-Fi bulbs for your home. These were easy Peezy to set up in my home office. And to me they seem brighter than the ones that finally quit working on me so I’m really happy with these. Downloading the app to connect them to was easy and getting them to connect to my Amazon. Alexa was not hard either.
Setup was a bit sketchy (was told to use its WiFi instead of my own), but managed to use mine

I got these bulbs for my ceiling fan in the promise I'd only have to set them up with Alexa (this is the first time I've ever bought smart bulbs). Setup was quite sketchy for three reasons; 1. Having to pull the chain to turn the bulbs off and on 5 times to put them in pairing mode. 2. Forced to grab this Sengled app and create an account with them. 3. The app told me to use its wifi instead of my home wifi through my ISP (but I managed to get them to connect properly). Overall I'm happy, but just be aware of its sketchy nature. I will see how long these last me and update this accordingly.

Best WiFi bulbs ever made!!!!!

I have tried several WiFi bulbs and sockets and none of them worked well and often quit after a while. I have now installed 4 bulbs and 4 switched by Sengled as well as downloaded the Segled Home App. Without a doubt these have performed better than I could have hoped for. The app and bulbs are super easy to set up and schedule. They work much better than all the others I've tried. They also work automatically with the Sengled Home App, Google Home and Alexa. I'm buying more because they work so well.

WIFI Bulbs, NOT Bluetooth

These are WIFI enabled bulbs, NOT Bluetooth. PROS: 1) Can use them anywhere in the that WiFi router reaches in the house without the need for another hub or an Echo Dot in range. 2) No limit in the number of bulbs you can use. CONS: 1) Need to use the Sengled App, and a much longer Setup Process. 2) Less responsive if WiFi connection is spotty or disconnected. I have used Sengled light bulbs previously so expected these to work similarly, and was just paying attention to the color because I wanted to update to daylight bulbs for better lighting in the morning and during the daytime. But the previous bulbs I used were Bluetooth bulbs, that configured automatically with my echo plus when in range (literally took less than 2 seconds to set up). When out of range, I did have to move an echo dot to the room but still set up in less than a min. For these, I bought eight bulbs and they each have to be set up individually in the Sengled App and then linked to the Alexa App. The entire process took about 20 mins. And on the plus side, I didn’t need another echo dot for the 3 bulbs that were in a bedroom more than 30 ft from my echo plus. So far I haven’t had any issues with them connecting to WiFi and they are the bright white light that I was looking for. Overall, I’m happy with the purchase even though it wasn’t quite as easy to setup as I expected.
Great Bulbs, No Problems

Just received 2 bulbs and connected them. Slightly confusing about setting up and integrating with our existing Alexa, but in retrospect it was pretty easy. Use your smartphone after installing the Sengled app and open both it and your Alexa app along with your wifi settings. One will direct you to the other and back, and it's a smooth operation. You might want to turn off your VPN during setup if you have one. After that, everything works just great and you can name the lights whatever you like under "edit". The lights themselves are responsive and the dimming feature works fine. We haven't tried the "schedule" feature but I don't foresee any problems with that. We liked these bulbs so much that we will probably order more. If you're in the market for bulbs like this, I highly recommend this product.
Subjective Impression

Subjective Impression .... That's why I waited to review these bulbs. I wanted to see how well they perform long term. The first thing I should mention, in fairness to the bulbs, is my internet/wifi is sketchy. I have a100 year old house, solid interior walls. That might affect what I'm going to say about the bulbs. I also have Charter service and they cut service weekly for "maintenance". That could also impact the bulbs. Finally, the Sengled app leaves much to be desired. The bulbs are great, easy install, good lighting and they easily interface with Alexa. As long as the connection is good, Alexa is a smoothe operator. Sometimes, most often, I use verbal Alexa commands. When I don't want to wake my dog up, I use the quick access Alexa light panel on my phone. (If I wake my dog he thinks I should give him treats, midnight snacks, and he has to go out to potty) The internet/wifi interruptions cause a bulb disconnect and I have to reset most of them. That takes more time than I want to give a bulb(s). Sometimes the bulbs completely back out and I have to delete them and re-install them, name them again and hope the connection holds. That takes waaay too much time for almost a dozen bulbs that I have connected. The app makes an easy install but the app management is messy. For instance, an installed bulb page doesn't give options that you may want, like a quick reconnect and if you create room groups, it's difficult to undo. Suggest making your groups via Alexa. Use the app to install, select the Alexa control and do everything else in the Alexa app. Supposedly the bulb should last 25,000 hours. In doing my math on my hall ceiling bulb based on typical usage, it should have lasted about 2 years. That bulb has been in service for 11 months and it's currently lighting at about 50% (for 2 weeks now). So maybe that 25,000 hours is 100% for awhile, 50% for awhile, and 25% for awhile, continuing to dim until it dies. I expect the 25k hours to be at 100% for at least 2 years based on the usage of the hall light. Problem is, by the time you know this, return options are expired and you don't know until it starts dimming down. I guess it would be the same with any brand. My hall light is used daily but for very short periods, like filling dog's water bowl or doing security checks at night, less than 10 minutes at a time. The den light, installed at the same time as the hall light, is used for longer times and is still performing at 100%. Apparently the longevity of the bulbs is subjective. Based on my experience, I like the bulbs as long as there are no wifi glitches. Regarding this brand or any other brand, how long they last at 100% is anyone's guess. I wanted to review this bulb because I think it's fair to share how it has performed overall. I can't say it's any better or worse than another brand.
