VITAMIX E320 Explorian Blender Black, 64 oz (Open Box)

When it works, it's great. But it overheats and has to sit and "reset" entirely too often for a high end product like this. I never blend anything heavier than fruit/vegetables and juice or water, following the instructions of slowly increasing the blade speed from low to high until I hit the level I need and letting it blend for 15-30 seconds, then slowly reducing speed to shut it off. The pitcher is never more than half full with liquid, and very rarely is anything more than lightly frozen/mostly thawed. Generally by the 3rd or 4th blend batch, it "overheats" and has to sit on the counter for an hour. So, my options are either delay my cooking by an hour or two every time, make much smaller batches (which defeats the purpose), or "pre-blend" my solid ingredients in a cheaper blender to break them up, then use this to liquify the resulting mash. None are ideal.
