Solid option for the price.

Caveat: my first IPS panel. If this is your first IPS panel, you will not like the glow. Comparing across the category, it seems reasonable, but next to the old TN, it's a nightlight. Similarly, "black" just isn't as black. If that's a deal-breaker, this technology isn't for you. While we're on the "bad," the Display Ports are only v1.2, and there's no downstream option. At these lumens, you couldn't get HDR anyway, so don't bother. Great, so now the "good." Though I didn't need it, the stand is so nice that I kept it. Rock-sold and highly adjustable. All possible cables/adapters were included. The overall build is similar - sleek and compact, much like the XPS 13 that seamlessly connects via USB-C. The laptop isn't the primary source, however, and it happily receives data (move the USB-C) and full-res video (DP) from the workstation. My spreadsheet/programming/engineering life is much improved. If you live in photo/video editing, or want a high-contrast gaming panel, this might not be for you. If you don't need perfect color fidelity or HDR, you'll save a few $100 on a serviceable display, and probably won't notice the difference.

This is a very badly designed product

Compared to other monitors of the same price range, this monitor has some surprisingly bad designs I won't have expected (and therefore didn't pay attention to) 1) This monitor doesn't have a headphone output while even a dell ultrasharp I bought 5 years ago has. It is very inconvenient if you use it for 2 computers and use headphone for meeting and entertainments. 2) The USB-C port act weirdly: Other USB inputs will connect to the laptop connected with USB-C even if the input source is chosen to be the display port (my desktop) 3) The monitor rotates but cannot be set to vertifical! Who would have thought? 4) the view angle of this monitor is narrow and the edge of the monitor will show grey with standard desk distance. I definitely would suggest to not buy this monitor.
