Great picture quality, small bezels and great RGB
By Amazon Customer on Reviewed in the United States on July 26, 2021
This is the business version of the 27GN950-B, however, unlike other brands, this seems to be a 1:1 copy of their brother. Pros: - Great picture quality, one of the best for the price point. - Super small bezels. I love that they finally got rid of the Acer logo on the bottom of the monitor. You can see the huge difference with the bezels of the monitor on the left (also another 27" from Acer). - Vesa mount on point. I'm on a two-monitor setup so I have not tested the included support. However, it works perfectly with monitor arms. It uses 100x100mm mounts. - RGB is pretty bright. I love how it reflects the RGB colors on the wall behind the monitor - Good calibration. I will later buy a calibration tool to properly caliber the monitor, however, it seems pretty accurate by default. Cons: - Availability. I was looking for this monitor since December last year, however it was not available at all. Finally, I got it a month ago, and almost at MSRP ($840). - HDR 600. I was not expecting this monitor to perform well with HDR content. And it was the case, it performs poorly. The colors seem too warm in my opinion, and they seem washed out. HDR is a cool feature to have, however, this product seems to be only a marketing feature. I would not recommend you buying this monitor if you plan to consume HDR content on it. - Hidden documentation. RGB Lighting needs software to be customized, LG Ultra gear control center, however, they don't tell you that anywhere! I had to do research to finally find that. Overall great monitor. I'm planning on purchasing another one to match my dual-monitor setup. Hope to find stock at MSRP or close.

It was a great monitor until it wasn't - buyer's beware
By Amazon Customer on Reviewed in the United States on October 11, 2023
I purchased this monitor in March 2022 and at the time it was pretty much the best 4k 144hz gaming monitor you can buy on the market. At the time I paid $800 for it and for a while I was pretty happy with my purchase. I really like the way it looks (with the RGB on the back) and the display itself is impressive. However, one day out of nowhere, a purple (sometimes green line) showed up on the display. Tried different outputs and different cables but it wouldn't go away. At the time this issue showed up I was past my 1 year warranty on the product so there is nothing LG will do for me even though this product is only 1 & 1/2 years old. I inquired about how much it would cost to fix the screen. They gave me a $350 repair cost estimate and told me that I would have to ship the product to them and wait for it to get repaired. For that kind of money I can buy myself a brand new decent gaming monitor. Since then, the 1 purple line has now multiplied into 4 purple lines. I've posted some photos to go with my review I guess this means that the issue with my display is quickly deteriorating and soon it would be completely unusable. My dilemma now is to either spend $350 and wait a couple weeks to get this monitor fixed or shop for a new one on Amazon and get it in two days. Naturally I'd expect a massive tech conglomerate like LG would be making quality products that will last you years to come but you'd be surprised.
