Great Sound, Budget friendly
By D. Pfeffer on Reviewed in the United States on November 7, 2022
I own several different Soundcore products, Life P2, Liberty Air 2, Q20, Soundcore 2 speaker. My wife has some Bose QC 35II headphones that I bought her, the big difference between them and the Q20 is confort. The Liberty Air 2 were great sounding they supported APTx and the Soundcore App, but my wife borrowed them and needless to say I will never get them back from her now. I needed a nice sounding pair of TWS to replace the Liberty Air 2 and wanted to add ANC to the bag of tricks it could do. I was considering the Sony WF-1000xm4 but the price was causing me to hesitate, I thought about the Jabra Elite 7 Pro but they don't support APTx only AAC and I'm an Android guy. I looked at the Pixel buds Pro but for the price they couldn't deliver an equalizer or support a Codec for Android other than SBC. I decided to try the Liberty Air 2 Pro it was $59 on Amazon and when I bought it there was an additional 25% off coupon, so even a cheapskate like me didn't have any reason not to try them. I will try to address different aspects of my experience so far with them. Fit: Included in the package are 9 different sized ear tips so you can hone in on the perfect fit. These are a little different than the other ear buds I have in that they don't fit inside the ear canal, the ear tip is actually shorter than some others tips; because of this I needed to use a larger tip to get a good seal. Typically I use ear tips in the medium/small range when they insert inside the ear canal. For the Liberty Air 2 Pros I need a Large + ear tip to get a good seal. But because they don't insert inside the ear canal I personally find them more comfortable. Getting a good Seal: the key to the ANC is getting a good seal. There is a function in the App that tests the seal. I find when I put them in my ears, I think I have a good seal then run the test and one or both are not sealed. Usually removing them and reinserting them I can get a good seal, I am improving gradually, it is taking me less time to find that good seal than when I first got them. But it worth it to me to go through the adjustment process, I wear them because my wife and I both are remote workers and I am trying to find a little quiet. Update: 12/2/22 getting a good deal is still a pain in the rear. I tried SpinFit tips thinking it would easier and better, actually made it harder to get a good seal. I may try Comply foam tips next. Sound: Full disclosure I have a little bit of high frequency hearing loss, so a bass heavy non-EQ headset just sounds too boomy for me. I appreciate the Hear-ID feature in the app that fine tunes the sound to my hearing. although I do think it over compensates and makes it a bit tinny sounding, but after the sound test I create an EQ from it and then tweak to where the high notes sound bright but not too high that get that tinny sound. I have the CODEC set to LDAC and it sounds really nice I can hear instruments that I hadn't noticed before in some older songs. My opinion is not the definitive of what sounds good but the sound is better than a a pair of $47 (with coupon) TWS earbuds should be expected to be. The App: quit your complaining and download the app. The first thing you will do after installing the App is update the earbuds to the latest firmware. If you choose to use LDAC then you will download another update. The app also lets you tweak the ANC to find the setting that works best for your environment. Summary: These are very nice sounding earbuds with features to rival competitors' that cost many times what you will spend on these. They are comfortable to wear and the battery last through a typical work day without any issue. The sound quality is excellent and customizable, these are my new favorite while I wait for the Soundcore Space A40 to go on sale. :)

Just not good enough
By K. Smith on Reviewed in the United States on May 21, 2022
These are fine, but not good enough for the price for what I need. I kept these for almost a month, in case what I didn't like was just something unfamiliar. But ultimately I decided to return them. Things I was disappointed in: -The tips are flimsy and usually come out of my ears inside out, and occasionally stayed in my ear. If I went with a smaller tip I didn't get a good enough seal for the ANC to really work. -There's no beep/tone/voice to tell you if the bluetooth connected properly. -The ANC won't work with only one bud in. Maybe that's a technology limitation, idk. But I'd still like to be able to take a walk and put the ANC in the ear facing the street and leave the other bud out completely. -I was excited to see you could program the soft buttons, but you can't disable them completely. But they also just didn't work as expected sometimes. -If you take out just one earbud, your audio will stop. I would prefer it to only stop if you take out both and there doesn't appear to be any settings for that. -At least on my google pixel, the widget doesn't work at all unless you first open the app and connect the buds. What's the point of a widget if you have to open and connect first? -The bluetooth connects when the case is opened, not when a bud is removed. So if the case gets knocked open in your purse, good luck figuring out why your audio isn't working -The ANC turned off at random occasionally. I wondered if it was because I lost the seal on my ears? Just a guess as one of the times I did notice the bud had slipped a little. But once it turned off at random, the soft key wouldn't turn it back on. You had to open the app, connect the buds, and then turn it back on manually. -The ANC worked well, but not enough better than the cheap pair I've been using to be worth the price. Things I like: -You can use either bud individually -The different ANC settings were nice, although I rarely had the inclination to use anything but the transit option. The ANC was great for inside, great for outside, not as good as I hoped for on the bus. -There were dozens of settings for the music quality. Seemed neat, although I mostly just turn on the ANC and either listen to an audiobook or nothing at all. It was a good feature that just didn't happen to really apply to me. -Battery life was acceptable as they never died unexpectedly. I'm medium good about remembering to charge things regularly.
