BalanceFrom Standard Weight Set 100lbs

I purchased this gift for my husband, as a gift for Christmas because he had gone through a life changing experience and HAD NO CHOICE but to give up his smoking. It landed him in the hospital. i ordered this weight set because it seemed a fair price. However, the bar itself, to me seems sketchy. a pin is insered, as to connect the bar to make it whole but it just doesn't seem sturdy to be lifting over your head. Not to mention that where the pin is inserted, the holes do not line up. my husband had to pound it in and it broke off. it feels like it is going to snap in half with the heavier wights on. SCARY!!! And to top it off, the box it arrived in, was LITERALLY FALLING APART. Seriously! i honestly thought i took a picture of the box but to discover i hadn't. The box had so much tape around it. I'm assuming it was added throughout its travels to get here. So, my review of this product. it could be designed better or i could have found a single solid bar design and the company should take more pride in its packaging that caters to online orders. i will keep it but will look for another one. think i will wrap a ton of duck tape six inches out from the section where it connects on both sides and then wrap it again with gorilla tape.
