Working but ...

Thank goodness mine is working but you have to sync manually by holding the button down(10 secs.) on the cameras until it flashes amber to add them. Had to turn off night vision for better images using the built-in spotlight. It can be a hit or miss if you buy refurbished or maybe just incorrect configuration. Sometimes app will not find the hub/camera if you have VPN on your mobile device. It has to be turned off. Update: Bought an endurance 256GB Micro SD card, you can now view the videos from the app if you are at home. Set to save on the card and got rid of my subscription. You will not get the fancier options like activity zones and intelligent recognition but still works fine. It will probably hold thousands of hours of recording before it gets full then will replace the oldest. Downside is you can only access the recordings on the SD card if you are on the same wireless network but the cloud recording still works and is good for seven days for free. Overall a very good investment.

Not worth the price!

Experienced multiple issues with home base, network/connection issues. Quality is not as great. Expensive levels of subscription. Best decision was to purchase the item refurbished and not full price. I was provided a home base without a QR code. QR code allows for Apples HomeKit configuration. Customer service was able to provide a replacement but tried to charge me shipping but declined, they shipped it either way. Only the cameras are able to connect Apples HomeKit. I also have the wireless doorbell but that is not able to configure to HomeKit. It will probably be an upcharge in the future for Arlo wireless doorbell and HomeKit to communicate. 4K is only offered if you are on your home network using their Arlo App. If I'm travel or at work you get HD 1080p quality on the app. The disappointment is the Apple HomeKit you are getting 720p quality image. Which is absurd and surprising. Also had issues with allowing access to my wife she wasn't able to change modes, alert EMS or Police in the event of an emergency. Luckily they were able to correct the issue after a network update a month later. Also when viewing live feed the connection speed is slow/delayed. Pressing play will take about 10 to 15 seconds to show live feed. Overall id recommend another company/product than Arlo. Purchase at your own risk. I am an IT professional by day so I am technical savvy. I hope this helps
