Non-Stick Stainless Steel Fry Pan

I love the heft of the pan, the size, the contour, the handle, just everything about it. But 4 months after purchase, the non-stick coating has started to peel on the rim. It has never been in the dishwasher, never used to sear at high heat or in the oven, no abrasive spongess, no cooking spray. It just hasn't held up. Most of the time I just wipe it out with a paper towel after use. The coating is starting to peel around the rim now. I like the other features of the pan so much that I'm going to use it until the coating is gone and it starts to stick (the issue with nonstick is not ingesting the coating, it's breathing fumes when it's heated too high). When it's finally unsuable as a nonstick I'm going to turn it into a standard 3 ply stainless by removing the last of the coating and polishing it. But honestly, it's not worth the money as a non-stick pan, even though it's cheap for a 3ply. I'm not going to try a warranty issue on it because of the afore mentioned repurpose, and I will fill that 10 inch non-stick slot with somethine more reliable, I wouldn't want to waste my time with a replacement.
