Quality product at a REASONABLE price!
By B. McShea on Reviewed in the United States on October 14, 2017
Let me start this by saying I bought this product on my own and DID NOT receive it for free so this is an honest review from someone who actually spent the money on this product. I have an Australian Shepherd who blows his coat twice a year (aka sheds all day, everyday all day). If you don’t keep up with the hair... it’s like the wild wild west with tumbleweeds just floating across my carpet and hardwood floors. I have been looking into buying a robot vacuum for a while to help with maintenance vacuuming in between vacuuming with my shark upright duo clean (which is my second shark vacuum and it is absolutely amazing). I was looking at Roombas for a very long time but was hesitant as the price was so expensive and the lesser models I thought were not going to do a good job so I was looking to spend almost $1000 for the 900 model and almost pulled the trigger. Then I came across this shark ion robot vacuum by chance when it came out a week or month or so ago I believe. I waited to see some of the reviews on here and then went ahead and purchased it and boy am I glad I did! It has been well worth the $350 I paid. I can’t say I’ve ever owned a rumor but my parents have and comparing their experience and the experience as I have read through several reviews I believe that this vacuum meets up to the same standards at a reasonable price. It does a wonderful job of picking up the dog hair, I was actually surprised of how much it actually picks up. Almost as much as my Shark upright. It also doesn’t really good job of picking up the find debris such as dust, dirt and sand. Also does a great job on larger debris such as dog food, leaves, grass, bark and other things that get tracked in from the bottom of shoes. I have used my upright directly after a robot cleaning just to see how much more I would get up and honestly I was surprised that it was minimal hair and debris and I mainly think it is because the vacuum can’t obviously get into every, nook, crany and tight corners. I have used the app and scheduled timer and so far it works great. I love that you can start it and stop it away from home. I love that you also get alerts on exactly what is going on and what is wrong with the robot vacuum when it’s not working. The only problem I’ve had is that it was getting stuck under a shelf and I easily fixed this problem with the magnetic tape that came with this product. It bumps into the magnetic tape and keeps on doing it’s job. I like that it has a low profile clearance though so it can go under my bed and other pieces of furniture that have a higher clearance where a lot of dust and hair or not reachable with an upright vacuum. I do pick up the dogs toys and chewys to make sure it does not get stuck on them. It does take a while to find it’s charger when running out of battery but it is just a robot and it makes sure it holds enough battery so it can do so. I’m pretty happy with the battery life. I live in a one bedroom, one bathroom apartment with a walk in closet, decent size kitchen and living room/dining room area. It is approximatley +900 ft.² and can clean all of it in one charge. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase. I would recommend this to any family or friends and also to you. I would like to finish this review by saying it will not replace your upright vacuum but is a wonderful tool for maintenance vacuuming especially for someone with OCD like myself. I will update this review if I have any problems in the future. Thank you Shark for another well made product at a reasonable price!

UPDATE: STOPPED WORKING LESS THAN THREE MONTHS OUT OF WARRANTY
By Jennifer M. Barker on Reviewed in the United States on January 27, 2018
Update: Three months out of warranty and my vacuum has stopped suctioning. I love this vacuum and up til now it has worked well and done a great job. I called customer service. The representative was a bit rude and short with me, offered me a replacement, The went “oh wait, I think you are out of warranty”. She then offered me a replacement for the ‘discounted’ price of 244.95 + tax and shipping which would bring the total to $288.00. Ummm, that’s a discount? Amazon is selling them for $244! So I am not happy and do not think I will purchase again. These should last longer than a year. Also, I might add the WiFi with Alexa never worked for us, but wasn’t that big of a deal to me, I just turned it on manually. So in closing, VERY DISAPPOINTED. I purchased the Shark Ion 750 Vacuum with wifi right after Christmas after watching countless videos and reading reviews for various robot vacuums. What drew me to Shark, I have a regular shark vacuum and love it, also I liked that it was lower profile than other robots and the price was in the range I was looking for. I had to wait two weeks for it to arrive, even with prime. Once It arrived, I began the process of setting it up on my phone which is very simple. However, I had an issue with it staying connected to my wifi. So I called customer service. You have to go through all the automated selections and once I got to the representative, I was told to hold, they needed to send me to the rep who specializes in robots. I was hung up on while on hold. I went through this THREE times! I finally discovered I was making the wrong selection on the phone. I chose Shark vacuum instead of Ion, which I guess are the people who know the robot vacuums.(All the reps I talked to were very nice, I just kept getting hung up on when they tried to transfer me) So, finally, I was able to talk to someone who helped me with my issue. However, I am still having problems with it not being able to reconnect to my wifi when it gets disconnected without me having to set it up from scratch. So I will probably have to contact them again and hopefully I won't have to send it back for a new one. Now, performance. I LOVE THIS LITTLE GUY! I bought him because we have a Labrador that sheds unholy amounts of fur! I'm talking, I could make a whole new dog out of the amount she sheds every day! We vacuum constantly and we were losing the battle. In comes my little Bruce (robots name). I turn him on, let him go, and he picks it all up. Even fits in some of the little places my regular vacuum can't reach. His vacuum pattern is very random, but believe me, he still gets everywhere. I have only had to use the regular vacuum once, to hit the places he can't go, in the three weeks we have had him! He is worth every penny and then some! Not overly noisy and goes right back to his dock when he is done. I also love the notifications on my phone if he gets stuck or anything. Plus I have him paired with Alexa which is nice, but you have to give very specific commands for her to understand what you are asking. So for performance and convenience I give this vacuum five stars, but I took it down one because of the wifi issues.
