Anker PowerConf S3 Bluetooth Speakerphone (Open Box)

UPDATE 11/22/24: I just wanted to edit this review because Anker customer service reached out to me, genuinely concerned about my poor experience with this product and provided me a full refund outside of my Amazon return window. I want to commend Anker for their customer service, and so I'm raising this up to 3 stars based on that experience alone. However my personal experience still stands and was overall disappointed with this product, and perhaps it was a one-off. I do own quite a few Anker products and this is the first I've ever had a negative experience with. That being said, the excellent customer service should also signal to others that overall this company is pretty phenomenal. Thanks again, Anker. ========================================================= ORIGINAL REVIEW [1-star]: I purchased this thinking it would be out-of-the-box no issues like Anker's usual line-up of products but I was dead wrong. I have a Poly Sync 20 by Plantronics that doesn't have the loudest speaker so decided to give this a shot. Unfortunately, this is what I'm running into: * The microphone doesn't get detected by my computer when plugged in via hardwire (which is my preferred method so that my conference speaker is always charged up and automatically ready for output and input). I've tried to reset the device, I've gone through all my Windows Sound advanced options, nothing seems to work. I've tested input audio via Windows, via Zoom, via another collaboration platform and my input is just not detecting any audio. * When I connect via Bluetooth, it feels like there is a delay in my input. Meaning when I start talking, it doesn't start actually activating the mic until maybe a second after the device detects my speech. Not sure if it's because it's a Bluetooth limitation or what. * For some reason device isn't even compatible with the AnkerWork app on PC.
