Delivers 'Beachy' Hair Waves
By Stefanie2530 on Reviewed in the United States on March 18, 2021
I REALLY like what Denoue's Sea Me Wave spray does for my natural wavy hair. It makes the waves, well, beachy! It loosens them so they have more of a tousled, 'messy' appearance as though I swam in the ocean and my hair air-dried. It only takes a few pumps of the spray to cover my hair. I love that it dispenses in mist form so it gently lands on my hair evenly. It does not make my hair hard and crunchy. I can still comb it and run my fingers through it. It doesn't weigh hair down or cause it to look oily/greasy. The beach-like waves stay in my hair until I wash it. I don't have to use the spray multiple times throughout the day, its long lasting. There is a nice, pleasant scent but it leaves my hair pretty quickly. It can be applied to damp or dry hair. I've only used it on damp hair, haven't tried it on dry hair. ( I dont' use any wave spray on dry hair....damp only ) I'm very pleased with Denoue's wave spray. Love what it does for my hair. I find the cost to be reasonable-it works very well and only takes a few pumps to adequately cover my hair. The bottle will last me a good amount of time. Recommended!

Best for hair that is on the oily side

I got to try this product as part of Amazon’s Vine program. I get the product for free and in return I provide an honest, written review of the product here on the product page. I first have to say that this smells AMAZING!!! It is a natural scent, primarily fruity, like citrusy, with a touch of real ginger and juniper, so I bit early too. It is not an artificial perfume. I love the scent more than anything. What I’m not fond of is how it does with my dry hair. I think because the second ingredient is denatured alchohol is the reason I don’t do well with it. I can feel it suck the moisture out of my hair. In that regard it is similar to “beach hair”. One reviewer said it has salt in it, which it does not. Makes me wonder if the reviewer actually read the ingredients, but whatever...it’s not salt that makes the beach waves, it’s the alcohol! Well, they do attempt to add back in some moisture and smoothness with castor oil and Dimethicone. I typically don’t like Dimethicone (silicone) in my hair products because it builds up and requires a harsh shampoo to really get it out, but luckily they don’t seems to put much silicone in this product. I want to love this product because it smells so wonderful, but it dries out my hair too much. For non-dry hair I think it would be a 5-star product.
