Good Set For GoPro Owners, But Get a Better Camera Sleeve
By Jinx V. on Reviewed in the United States on May 19, 2020
I have a GoPro 8 Black, so I knew going into it that the camera sleeve wouldn't fit it. I'm not going to comment on that, as I knew about it going into the purchase. I will comment on the quality of the sleeve though, which seems disappointing. Let's say I wasn't sad it wouldn't fit once I saw it; it's plain and doesn't look to serve much purpose outside the lanyard; which seems stronger than it. It seems thin, like its not going to hold up and will be stretched out from regular use relatively quickly. Again, that's just an observation and from handling the material, but I would have looked to get a better case almost immediately if I had even considered relying on that as my only protection. I will use the lanyard, so that wasn't a loss. I have a float mount and this is much thicker and nicer than the lanyard that came with that. It's thick and feels like it could withstand a few snags and the water without much issue. I wanted the bag and the tripod stick. And I'm happy to say both are exactly what I was hoping for, from size to quality of build. The stick is pretty light, which is the point, and would easily fit in a pocket without much hassle. The extension is only to about a foot, but that's enough to hang the camera over a railing or out a window without needing to lean. The quality of the extension feels strong, it doesn't seem like something that is going to wear out from use, or bend like some of the cheaper sticks do. The actual tripod has a very small base, I worry it might tip over with any medium gust of wind. Otherwise the stick also being a tripod is a very nice touch and can come in handy in a ton of situations you may want a specific shot while just out and about. It should be noted that the tripod stick goes for almost as much as the travel pack on its own, so if you are interested in the tripod stick just get the pack. The bag is good quality. My only problem is the weird separator they give with it, which does fit across the bag in both directions due to it folding in the middle. They made the velcro the same direction on both sides, so it folds weird at the end to stick properly. It works, and the bags size is perfect to take with you. If you have a backpack it will fit in it just fine and fit the camera and all your accessories. I put the GoPro tripod/stick, a clip mount, a gorillapod, a two-strap mount, the camera, two stick mounts and clips, the camera, and all my extra batteries and cards; without any space issues. It's great to be able to fit all the accessories I want to take everywhere in one small bag. I can see throwing this into my hiking stuff without losing too much space. I would not trust this for travel, however. The bag doesn't seem like it would offer any level of protection outside of things being scratched; otherwise the fabric makes it easier to pack your odd-shaped mounts that you want all the adapters and clips to go with in a lightweight, zippered bag. It is worth having in your arsenal. I do, however, recommend a nice insulated hard-shell travel case if you plan on traveling with your camera and all your cards. These typically have a way to lock them, and will protect your camera and accessories better if they are dropped with your luggage or smashed below something in the car. They aren't commuter friendly though, so for taking with you every day on the bus or in a backpack they would be inconvenient; so having a nice bag like this GoPro one will save you for those moments. Overall, the whole set together is well worth the asking price. Be ready to replace the sleeve for the camera. I can't stress how much it feels like 'one out of a larger pack', given as a free sample of sorts. Get a nice hard shell, attach the lanyard to that and forget about the sleeve. The bag and the tripod stick are both top shelf items and I'm happy to have them.

Tripod out of spec.
By CuriousG on Reviewed in the United States on January 19, 2025
The case is the best part here. It is a nice size - not to small, not to big. The clip is ok, but a lot bulkier than i thought. The tripod is the biggest disappointment. I have a cheap Ulzani that is much nicer at less cost. More offensive is that the the figment on the tripod is out of spec - the space between the fingers is too narrow. I confirmed this on my Hero 11 and cage for my older 7. So now I am taking a file to remove material from this POS. How can the name brand accessory be such garbage? For shame.
