Med-E-Lert Medication Dispenser

As soon as I opened the battery compartment to install the batteries, the lock for the compartment door fell apart and the spring (the lock was spring loaded) fell into the main assembly, never to be seen again. I was able to put the batteries in and set the time...and then it appears the batteries died. After replacing those, I spent over an hour setting the time and alarms (and yes, I watched their instructional video, which, by the way, has a woman fumbling through and making all sorts of mistakes which they then try to edit out. Of course, the video jumps so you can tell she's having trouble). After all that, I loaded a few m&m's for a test run and waited for the alarm to go off (I finished up about 5 minutes before the first alarm should sound) and...nothing. Crickets. I decided to let it go until the next alarm (12 hours later). Same thing. It was packed up and brought to our local UPS store the next morning. Very disappointed.
