Comparison to Adidas Unisex Rivalry Soccer (2-pair) OTC Sock Team, Black/White, Medium US
By ClaireWithLove on Reviewed in the United States on September 3, 2023
I wear a women's size 9 and bought a Medium. They fit comfortably without excess sock at my toes. These are double the price of the two pairs of "adidas Unisex Rivalry Soccer (2-pair) OTC Sock Team, Black/White, Medium US" for about the same price, but I ended up buying two more pairs of these "Copa Zone Cushion 4 Soccer" socks because: - the foot area is bigger and not as tight on the sides as the Unisex Rivalry socks. There is more room for my toes to stretch out. - the height of the knee high is slightly lower than the Unisex Rivalry socks which goes a little past the bend in my knee so I end up pushing the sock down or folding the top over. With these Copa socks, they fit comfortably below the bend in my knee. I am 5' 4." - the moisture wicking properties seem to be even better than the Rivalry: these Copa socks are: 98% Recycled Nylon, 2% Spandex Rivalry are: 93% Polyester, 3% Natural Latex Rubber, 2% Nylon,2% Spandex I am wearing these socks inside a walking knee height boot for my broken foot. My foot is less hot and sweaty and more comfortable. - There is more padding with these which seems to include the toes and heels. both have padding under the ball of the foot. I wore and washed both types of socks, my conclusions: - These socks held up better and did not shrink. They are still longer than I need, so they can bunch up behind my knee but they do not slip down as I walk. They are also a nice, warm layer on my legs for Winter. - The adidas Unisex Rivalry Soccer (other socks) shrank so the top was about 3" below my knee. These offered more padding for the foot and initially fit better, but after shrinking they kept slipping down as I walked.

I've ordered several of these socks over the recent years, different colors. I'm impressed with the quality, compression, durability and wide color selection. I'd give them 5 stars EXCEPT, as noted by many commenters, the sizing can be wildly incorrect. As the picture shows, all 4 of these are labeled LG, but the white with blue strips is clearly shorter and narrower than the other three. I didn't catch this in time to return them but had to order the other white pair which came as correct size.

I sponsored child in soccer and I bought these socks for him. I bought two pair. Nice heavy socks for soccer and the quality was excellent. Haven’t seen much shrinkage and they’re not too hard for him to put on. Overall, pretty decent sport sock.
Excelent Product and fast delivery.

Metro 6 vs Copa Zone vs OTC

Wanted to give people a general comparison for different Adidas socks out there. Was mildly surprised of how wide range the sock thickness ended up being though the price range wasn't that much different (by a dollar or two). Red socks are the Metro 6 and are obviously meant for young kids or those who like wearing nothing at all. There wasn't any additional toe padding or stitching; and the overall sock was quite thin. The middle black/grey Copa Zone socks were more like a compression sock - nicely padded at the toes, with compression around the mid foot and ankle. Still lightweight. Both this and the Metro came up to slightly lower than the knee, and part of Adidas Aeroready sock line (drying technology). The OTC was also part of the Aeroready line, and had a thick, traditional soccer-sock feel. It was also the longest and heavier in knit weight.
