Girly toy
By Magg on Reviewed in the United States on September 14, 2020
I bought this toy for my niece bday and she really liked it very much. She is 7 years old and played for hours and hours. It has many surprises inside and the best thing for her mom is that the tea cup works as a case, so it’s easy to pick all of the toys with no mess after play. Just be careful if there is a little one in the house because there are small pieces that can be dangerous for kids under 3 years old.

Lots of tiny plastic pieces and lack of cohesion
By Meridenya on Reviewed in the United States on January 9, 2022
So, I got this Itty Bitty Pretty's large teacup for my almost-four-year-old daughter for Christmas. She has an older brother and almost every basic category of toy already. So I thought I would put aside my biases and get her something "girlie". She can spend hours engaged in creating little stories and conversations and happily acts out little scenes with anything from figurines to garlic cloves. So I envisioned this being something like a portable doll house that she could take with her places. Firstly, the hinge takes a bit of finesse. She enjoyed opening things well enough. I had thought that some of the items would turn into fizzy tea, but only 2 items were in dissolving tea bags, which did become a little sticky and needed to rinse off a other reviews has mentioned. There was one lump of blue glittery putty which I thought might be something that would fizz in water but only seemed to dissolve and turn gloopy. My daughter fished it out, distressed that I was "breaking it". So the other items were just in packaging, thus making it as eco-unfriendly as possible without even seeming to serve much of a function (I believe it was meant to prolong the "unwrapping" but it just wasn't that exciting). As for the dolls themselves, getting all the clothes on was hard enough for *me* to do. Putting on one item of clothes would often pop off another. Finally, the sheer number of tiny itty bitty pieces that don't seem to attach to anything or have any any internal way of securely storing them is madness. I have not yet met a kid who wouldn't lose tiny unattached, unsecured pieces. We have already flushed one of the little bows down the toilet when it was accidentally dropped in. I am overall rather disappointed in the lack of cohesiveness of this toy. I'm hoping maybe some of her little animal family figurines will manage to repurpose it somehow, but not too optimistic. For me, it was a gamble that did not pay off. It gets a couple of stars because my daughter has engaged with pieces of it in moments over the past couple of weeks. Note: The photo is missing one doll that I couldn't find at the writing of this review and is also definitely missing the bow that was flushed and probably a few other of the little plastic pieces.
