Original Defense Self Defense Siren

Didn't work so bought new batteries. Hard time opening to get to battery. directions didn't say slide out 2 batteries. Went on Utube to find out. Only told me how to open. Those little bitty screws r hard 2 find on the floor. At 1st I put batteries in wrong; didn't work so changed sequence of batteries. Put back 2gether works great. Now I'm wondering were the batteries that were in there when it shipped good & just not in the right sequence. ? I think it needs 2 loops one on each end. I just went 4 a walk. The siren part disconnected and was on the pavement blaring and the other part was still on my purse. If the loop had been on the other end it wouldn't have pulled out. A loop 4 the purse and a loop for the siren pull would be better. The flashing light helped me find it; as it was dark outside. If you redesign let me know please.
