This shoe rack (or as other reviewers have repurposed as a bottle rack) is one of the only compact shoe racks I could find on Amazon that was reasonably priced and fit the dimensions I needed. While it won't win any awards for durability, quality of materials, or sturdiness, it gets the job done. Other narrow shoe racks on the site are either 17-18" in width, which annoyingly barely fits two adult pairs of shoes. I wanted a non-adjustable rack with a little more width/room that could comfortably fit two pairs of hiking boots side by side if needed. At 19.5", this was perfect. Installation was easy - just follow the instructions of placing the framework metal bars in first. Some reviewers complained about some of the middle bars being too short. With the rack on its side, make sure you tap (with the meat of your palm or a soft mallet) on the plastic gray framework to ensure the bars are fully in. Everything about this shoe rack feels cheap - from the metal bars finish to the thin, plastic sides. But it's the only shoe rack I could find at the size I needed priced at ~$15 that does the job. Simple as that.
