Great doorbell with both wired and battery functions!

First: I'll start by saying that my initial instinct was to go with a ring or nest doorbell camera. I have Nest thermostats and have been very pleased with their performance - however, not all nest functions are seamless with Alexa integration. That being said, Eufy does integrate into Alexa very well. Location, doorbells, enabling and disabling of the system - 100%. Price was also a driving force - I wanted a great doorbell that wasn't too bulky, allowed me flexibility in install locations and was flexible to be expanded as time and entries expand. This was on sale for ~$140. Great deal. To make this easy - I'll break it down into a few categories and just give my personal stance. 1. Price - Great (~$140) 2. Ease of Install - Great 3. Expandability - Great (<3 min.) 4. Integration to SmartHome - Fantastic (Alexa) 5. Camera Functions - Very Good (Not perfect - sometimes our dog is a 'human' and I've gotten an alert.) 5a. Voice - Works well 5b. Phone App & Notifications work great 5c. Free on-prem storage (No subscription) 5d. Build Quality - Great and secure - feels nice and has locking key Overall - I would buy again.

It's been a decent doorbell camera so far. I do not have it hooked up to the existing doorbell wiring. I didn't want it ringing in the house and causing the dogs to lose their minds. The motion detection can be a little slow at times but for the most part it isn't horrible. The sidewalk does a 90* turn about 20' from the door and leads to the driveway. If the delivery person is running from the driveway to the door to literally throw a package on my doorstep, it usually catches them just as they're tossing the package. If somebody walks up, it's pretty good about catching them just as they come around from the driveway. Battery life made it about 3 weeks the first time around. I did turn the sensitivity down a little after that and it seems to be catching less events now, but still reporting on the ones it should be. Overall it's better than what my dated camera was doing for me. We'll see how it continues to work. ***Update 11/10/2022 This camera is frustrating these days. I bought it in Aug and have been using it since the day it got here. I have changed as many settings as possible to try and limit the number of alerts I receive on it. I've changed the zone to limit the alert area but that doesn't seem to do any good. It will pick up on every car that drives by at night (approximately 50' from the door) but it struggles to pick up the Amazon driver walking up to the door for a delivery. It doesn't however pick up vehicles driving by during the day, only at night. My next step might be to reset it and see if that helps. It's nice having a doorbell camera but it's frustrating that it doesn't always work the way it should. I've dropped it down to 3 stars until I can figure out why it's not working correctly. ***Update 11/17/2022 I went in to the video settings and turned of the Auto Night Vision setting. Since I have turned that off I have not received a single false alert. I leave my front porch light on all night and that seems to be enough light for the camera to see clearly without the use of night vision. Not sure why having the auto night vision off is making a difference so far, but if it keeps from getting 30-50 false alerts a day, I'm all for it. Changed it back to 4 stars. ***Update 11/21/2022 Dropped it to 1 star, I'm just done dealing with it. Turning off the IR in my last update no longer fixes the issue. The door bell motion detection now goes off at least once every other minute for no apparent reason during the day and evening hours. I had to turn the motion detection off at this point. I have it set to 1 for sensitivity and the alert zone doesn't even cover the sidewalk 50' away, let alone the street beyond it. I have it limited to just my front steps and it still alerts whenever it chooses to. Seems to be a pretty worthless doorbell at this point.
