Worth the purchase

I wore these all last winter to work in the barn as they were the warmest boots I had. They have held up amazingly despite the abuse they got. Would buy again.

Beautiful warm boots - not the best for those with foot problems.

I wanted to LOVE these boots. They look so nice, and feel so comfortable...until you have to wear them for any length of time. I've never had to buy wide shoes, but I probably should have in this instance. I have minor bunions, and the pinch at my bunions is the worst, especially on one foot. The first time I wore them to work, I had to take them off to give my foot a break after a couple of hours, it hurt so bad. I think I may have to buy some kind of spacer to widen the boot. Otherwise, they are super warm, even in cold weather. They keep my feet dry, even walking in the snow. I've only worn them 3 times since winter began. Maybe they'll be more comfortable after I have the proper chance to break them in!!! I'll admit, I found them in a store and tried them on, fell in love with them but the store didn't have my size, just the ones I tried on that were too large. I'm not going to return them! I just hope they get more comfortable with extending wear. Giving them 3 stars because they really are a great boot...just not the right size for my feet (based on the bunions).

I was concerned about the fit after seeing some of the reviews; that these boots might be too tight. I wear a 6.5 shoe size and ordered a 6.5 boot. Then I read that the boots are made to wear with a thick sock. Sure enough, I was able to slide my foot into the boot wearing only a pair of wool Smart Socks. The toe box was wide enough to accommodate my medium wide feet, so it was comfortable. The boots are a little stiff but should soften with normal wear. My chief concern was warmth. I wouldn’t say they kept my feet warm, but that’s probably due to poor circulation. My feet did get a little cold when walking outside, but nothing like other boots I've tried which provided little protection against the cold.

I've had these for about year (bought them in January 2024 I think), and I've just brought them out again as it's almost December and the days have gotten much much colder to where I need something warm on my feet. We've gotten some light snow as well. I bought these because my old beloved pair of boots had worn through the sole enough that water started coming in. That pair of boots was amazing because it was tall (just under the knee) and easy to put on because it worked with a zipper. They were also super light weight and not clunky! Unfortunately, it was impossible for me to find another pair of boots like that within my price range. It seems these days, women's snow boots only go up to the ankle! Those taller pairs are RARE, and if you do manage to find one, you have to shell out over 100$ which just wasn't in budget for me. These were a fair price and they are a nice boot. Some boots are quite literally heavy, clunky, and thus tiring to walk in. These, however, are not. I use them to walk my dog. They've stood up well to snow, no leaks so far, and have kept my feet warm. I wish they were taller so I could go into deep snow without worry, but they work for what I need them for which is mainly walking the dog in the winter, sometimes through snowy roads. Part of me wishes they were a bit slimmer as I have to tighten the laces quite a bit to get them secure on my ankle (I am peitit, 5' 3" and maybe 115 lbs), but at the same time I like that there's a bit of extra room as I often wear layers (literally, 2 pairs of pants or sometimes pants with snow pants over top that need to be tucked into the boots). I think they were a little stiff when I bought them but loosened up with wear. After being so used to my nike running/walking shoes, they do feel a bit stiff to walk in again this year, but nothing that causes foot pain or too much discomfort. Hopefully with even more wear they'll really get broken in.
Great Value! Very happy customer.

I give the Columbia Ice Maiden boots 5/5 stars. Considering the price, this is a value that’s hard to beat. I usually wear a 7.5 but I bought a size 8 because I wanted to be able to wear thick wool socks with them and that was perfect. I bought them to go on a trip to Iceland in the coldest part of winter, and they were great. I also wear them in the snow at home. I did some mild/moderate hiking with crampons on them, walked at least 5-7 miles a day for a week in snow, ice, water puddles, you name it. They are warm and waterproof. If I was going to be hiking more considerable lengths I would instead just go with a hiking boot but for mild to moderate activity in freezing cold snow, you will be set!!

This is my second pair of these boots; my first pair I wore from 2014-2023. I got a new pair when the bottoms of my feet started getting wet and I had to wear plastic bags over my feet inside the boots. I have had my recent pair just over two years, and have now had the same issue; I went for a walk in February and the ground was very wet and the bottoms of my socks were very wet when I got home. Pretty disappointing, because I do like them for the look and they are very comfortable. Not sure I will buy another pair after this.

Shocked how lightweight they are. Went up a 1/2 size like many recommended and fit great. These were chosen "Best overall" by GH mag. which is part of why I tried them. Glad I did. Shaft is a great height for most snow in Michigan. Tried the soles out on smooth ice. I could feel them grip but still slipped. I was purposely TRYING to slip so take that how you want. Not much but ice cleats can help with that. Did great on hard snow. I had no socks on for my outdoor test and feet did not get cold(mid 20s). Best part is how cute they are on. With the black you can always change the laces out for different colors to match anything you want. Thinking about the short version for work since I have to go outside a LOT around semitrucks.
