I love them! I got my husband a pair a couple christmas’ ago, and finally got my own! It is easy to use, very comfortable on your ears. The volume control has its own buttons.

Let me start off by saying that I understand it is a risk to by anything that has been refurbished. With that said, I expected much more from this company. Based on my awful experience and terrible customer service, I would recommend finding somewhere else to buy whatever it is you are looking for. I purchased these headphones in late on March 30th. I had some issued with connectivity and sound out of one of the earbuds. I found that if I did a hard reset, I could usually get them back to working and thought nothing of it. However, just after the July 4th weekend, I went to get the earbuds out of the charging case and noticed that one of the earbuds snapped off while sitting in the charging case and was discovered when removing it from the charging case. I After examining it and doing a lot of research online, this should never happen! In fact, I found a website discussing people trying to "undue" these headphones to learn about the technology and they were unable to get the earbud apart...when trying to! would not be reaching out if I thought it was normal wear and tear that caused this. At this point I have to assume that this is what the "refurbished" part of the earbuds was. Given the connectivity issues all along and the way it just came apart, there is no other explanation other than they did a terrible job a fixing this earbud but were willing to sell them for $145 hoping they would hold up. In this case, they did hold up just long enough as I was one week outside of the warranty window of 90 days. I thought that the company might be understanding given that is is an obvious refurbishment gone wrong and these should have never been put back on the market. I received a very short response basically telling me that the 90 days is up so there is nothing they will do. I wrote back restating my reasoning and letting them know I would send these back for a replacement pair - I was not just looking for my money back. To this email I received an even shorter response saying the same thing. I guess in the end you do get what you pay for, just expected a lot more from the company. When it comes to buying from this company, I hope this review saves some people from making the same mistake that I did.

These are so convenient but unfortunately mine was used. They cost far too much to receive a used set.

My gen-1 Amazon buds had started to have battery life issues, so I was looking around for replacement earbuds. I have a weirdly shallow ear canal on one of my ears, so I have always had issues with earbuds popping out. I decided to go with these because of the over-ear design and generally favorable reviews. I'm happy enough with them to not return them, but I don't like them as much as I liked the Amazon buds. Some general thoughts and complaints: First, they're much larger. That's understandable given the size of the ear hooks, but it does make it more difficult to use them on the go--the case just isn't pocketable. If you have a bag it's a non-issue, but you're not putting the case in a jeans pocket. They don't seal at all for me. I've tried every size of ear tip and none of them fit comfortably while also providing full sealing. If I hold them in place with my hands I can get them to seal and thus I can hear what they "really" sound like, but because of the shape of the hooks they don't hold them perfectly in place and you lose the seal. Also, they don't have active noise cancellation like my Amazon buds did, and I didn't realize just how much I'd miss ANC. My next pair will definitely have ANC again. The sound quality is also a notable step down. The bass is very weak, even at "full" volume (and I don't generally like turning the volume up), and the highs and mids are tinny and "shriek-y." I listen to audiobooks about 75% of the time if I'm using earbuds, and they're fine for that. But the other 25% is a definite downgrade from what I'm used to. They're spotty about connecting to my iPhone and iPad. I was initially happy with the experience of pairing with my phone--because it's an Apple product it automatically starts the pairing process once you hold down the pair button on the case, and it walks you through it pretty seamlessly. I was also impressed that it automatically paired with my iPad without having to go through the pair process again--it "just worked." All that was great. But after having used them for a couple months, I'd say it successfully pairs with my iPhone maybe 80% of the time on first try when opening the case, and maybe 70% of the time with my iPad. Versus 100% of the time with my Amazon buds. I repeatedly have to put the Beats back in their case, close it, pull them back out, and verify they're paired. Sometimes I have to open bluetooth settings and click on the Beats on the list of devices. It's a pain, and one that I haven't had to bother with on pairs of "true wireless" Anker or Amazon earbuds. It's frankly shocking I've been having these issues with an actual Apple product. All that said, there are a couple things these do well enough to make me keep them. First is the general design of having the ear hooks, and second is having physical buttons. I loved most things about my Amazon buds, but the combination of depending on friction within my ear canal and the capacitive "touch" interface made it maddening when I'd repeatedly have to try to press them back into my ear and accidentally pause or fast-forward whatever I was listening to. It was infuriating, especially if I was walking while wearing them. With the Beats, the hook keeps them on my ear and I never have to fidget with them, and the button placement makes it SO MUCH EASIER to play/pause and volume +/-. I have no idea why any manufacturer would use touch controls on ear buds, and in the future I'm going to base my purchases largely on whether or not there are buttons. Finally, I'd just say that I'm happy _enough_ with these to keep them, but have some buyer's remorse. The sound isn't great, the pairing isn't great, but the hooks and buttons are great. Depending on what you value in ear buds, they may work well for you.
