Husqvarna 225 Wet & Dry Vacuum Cleaner

Yes, its a shop VAC, I have no clue why they call it a vacum cleaner... its heavy duty, for work environment. I own Shop Vacs, Feins, Festools, Craftsmans, etc. Ever Vac must be evaluated at its price point... and for the current $200 list price, I would say this is an excellent vac. First, it produces almost equal suction to my Festools... thats impressive. It offers both Bag and standard cylinder filter, which is mandatory for wet clean up. Of coure, its not HEPA rated. The accessories are excellent, very well built. The suction control on handle is a nice feature, but not used that often, as most people go full suction. The hose and cord are generous in lenght vs. most. The canister is robust and has a handle inside for easy lift up for sink dump, etc. the handle on the top, is robust, will not snap off. The wheels are typical, small in front, larger in the rear, it follows you well. There is one unique feature I never saw before... it has a self cleaning button... you put the hose in your hand to cut suction, the press the clean button, and it forces air through the filter in the opposite direction to break heavy dust off the exterior of the filter, very clever. a few quick plunges of the clean button, and you notice better suction!!! very innovative !!! YOu can buy vacs for much less than this, or buy Festool, Fein, Bosch, for 3x+ more. If your needs are limited to what this does, and you dont need HEPA filtration, I would highly reccomend this brand. They have a great reupuration in all their products, so they would never introduce a vac at the bottom of the market. I would like to see them release the more advanced models in the USA, as seen in the manual, they allow you to plug your tool into the vac, such as a sander, the Vac turns on and off when the sander turns on n off as the more costly units do... highly reccomended...
