GoWISE USA 17-Quart Air Fryer & Food Deh (Open Box)

I bought this during the everyone has to have an air fryer fad thinking it would be nice to have something to reduce some calories and cook healthier. I have a culinary degree, so I am not an amateur in the kitchen. I tried it few times and meh, was not impressed, made great chicken nuggets from Costco, but otherwise, would rather cook the old-fashioned way. It sat in storage for a while and decided to give it to my sister, when she turned it on, nothing, it was dead. I contacted GoWise (at least they did respond) and they gave me some tips on how to reset it - meaning this has happened more than a few times and that didn't work either. I understand I am past my warranty, not by much, but it is past that 12 month period. The best they would offer is a 20% discount on a new unit. WHO would buy from a company that sells products that don't last more than a year? I got the 'We apologize for the inconvenience', which seems like that is the most common statement so many poor companies use that does not care about their customers. A Reputable company would have either offered to replace it, even though it was past the date or offer a good enough discount to show they really do care about your business - GoWise did neither! Oh, they did send me the link on their warranty just to remind me and said that if I bought a new one, if I register in 2 weeks, they will extend it a whole 60 days later. This was not one of the 'cheaper' air fryers' out there, but it sure is cheaply made and does not last. DO NOT BUY FROM GOWISE.
