Exceeded Expectations

We bought this 42QT fridge during a last minute decision before a road trip. It was a kind of a gamble, but we were willing to take it over the cooler + ice method. I had it plugged into our Mazda CX5 12v plug in the back of the vehicle. We used the fridge in both, the freezer and the refrigeration mode. In our experience on a 12 hour road trip, the bottom part of the box can indeed be used as a freezer while the top smaller area will just refrigerate. Here's what I would conclude about this fridge: It's way cheaper than the bigger name products. (Why do the other brands cost more than my kitchen fridge?!) It doesn't draw much power since it worked fine in our Mazda with and without the engine running. You can transition the fridge between your car and home because you get two power supplies (DC and AC). It still costs less than a YETI. Sorry, but this is true and you don't have to fill half of it with ice just to keep it cool in a vehicle. I don't know about reliability or longevity. We've only tested it on one trip which was 1 week long with about 24 hours of driving on the road. But at this point, I feel pretty confident about our purchase.

Was great till it wasn't

The first couple of times we used this it was great but like other users have said the temp display screen has gone out and the fridge is no longer cooling. Customer service has been impossible to get ahold of and very slow with their responses. (I'll update if I ever hear back from them) Since we are in the middle of a cross country road trip we are now facing having to ship it back home and buy a new fridge. Very disappointed :( ***Update to add: shortly after writing this review I got a response from customer service. There definitely is a bit of a language barrier, even through email because I was explaining we were on a trip and it wouldn’t help us to have the new piece shipped home or even possible overnighting it - that was either not understood or they didn’t care. Anyways we were able to figure it out with family and have them overnight it after it got shipped from the company to their house. Overall it was a large headache - but the fridge is working again with the new piece. After having the awhile I’ll add that it’s a good little fridge but doesn’t work very well when it’s hot.
