SuperHandy 50' Water Hose Reel Retractable (Open Box)

The Super handy water Hose Reel seems to work very well. It is mid-winter and so I have only been able to test how it retracts and feeds out the hose and how the unit looks in terms of design and manufacture. That all seems very good. If it leaks or the like I will update this review. The problem is the hose quality. The first unit that I received had a cracked hose at the point where the hose had a stop on it. This is devise used to stop the hose from going completely into the reel. I contacted Amazon and received another unit very quickly. As I examined the new hose I found that it was crinkled at the same point as the cracked hose. The hose is very hard and I feel it is just a matter of time and it will crack there again. It is not a nice flexible rubber hose, rather a hard plastic one. This is the reason for the 3 stars. At this point, with a better hose I would give it 5 stars. Update: The hose pulls out of the nozzle unit easily and must be put back in and tightened. This is a hassle. Plus in order to attach a different nozzle or another length of hose, you must buy an adapter (male/ male hose threads. also you must get a snap in adapter. This is not good.
