Going on a year with no issues - High quality, thick cable, supports 1440p and 4K Monitors! Great value
By Robert Bevilacqua on Reviewed in the United States on April 3, 2016
I use this cable to connect my 2009 15" Macbook Pro to a Acer G257HU 1440p monitor. This has been my first experience with using DisplayPort, but being able to run my monitor at its native resolution is 100% worth it. Two things that caught my attention on this cable were the solid overall reviews, Lifetime Warranty, and their headquarters is located in the USA (California). This cable will support resolutions up to 4k (I've tested it with a ASUS PB287Q 4K @ 60hz) as well as 3D video and total data transfer of up to 21.6GB/s and is VESA certified. I ordered the 3.3ft cable thinking it would be long enough, but with Apple having the Mini DP on the left side of the laptop it is a bit of a stretch to connect it. This cable has been hooked up for almost a year now and has given me no issues to date! If you computer goes into Sleep mode, this cable allows the monitor to wake up when your computer does as well which is convenient and something all cables don't do. There's no kind of flickering with this cable, and the text on the screen is crystal clear/easy to read and colors are very accurate and vibrant. One thing I don't like about this cable is the quality of plastic on the Display port end. For whatever reason it seems cheaply made, and I am not a fan of the latch, but it has given me no problems so far and due to it sitting behind my monitor I never see it. In terms of overall quality, the cable is very thick and has held up great to some bending during moving. I took a picture of it next to my mouse's wire to give you an idea of the gauge of wire. THOUGHTS: This cable is everything you want in a cable. It is slightly more expensive, but is has a proven track record, is high quality, and comes with a lifetime warranty. RETURN PROCESS/CUSTOMER SERVICE: A note on the warranty; at one point I thought the cable was failing on me and I started the RMA process. Customer service was immediate and very helpful. If you need to return the cable you are responsible for return shipping, but their support is top notch and easy to work with. Spend the extra few dollars on this cable and avoid the gamble of buying other cheaper cables!

Did not work for daisy chaining my Dell monitors
By AK on Reviewed in the United States on September 8, 2020
I purchased these particular cables because of the overwhelmingly favorable Amazon reviews, but the cables didn't work for my particular setup. Hopefully my review will help someone else avoid the same mistake. I have 3 Dell U2415 monitors which were previously set up on separate PCs. I decided that I wanted to do a triple monitor setup for my primary PC which is running the latest version of Windows 10 Professional x64. There's more than one way to do a triple monitor setup, but the most streamlined way is to daisy-chain the monitors with DisplayPort cables. There's a lot of "gotchas" when attempting to daisy-chain monitors, and the Dell U2415 monitors are no exception. I won't get into those technical details in this review because that info is readily available on the internet. Ultimately, I got the daisy-chaining of my triple monitor setup working flawlessly - but not by using these cables. I ended up using the original cables that Dell supplied with the monitors. So what type of problems did I have with these cables? In a nutshell, they were extremely unreliable. There were many times where some or all of the monitors were not detected by my video card. Sometimes this would occur when booting the PC, and sometimes monitors would just "drop out" while using the PC. When a monitor would drop out, I usually had to disconnect the power and/or DisplayPort cables for several seconds and then reconnect them to get the monitors to detect a signal again from my video card. And these cables really gave me grief with the power management functions of my PC. In Windows 10 power management settings, the display can be set to go to sleep after a certain time period, and also the entire PC can be set to go to sleep as well. In either of these cases, the monitors could not be "woken up" after they went to sleep. I had to hit the reset button on the PC to force a reboot to wake up the monitors. When I switched back to the DisplayPort cables provided by Dell, my daisy-chained triple monitor setup worked without any problems that I had with these cables. In case you're wondering, I bought these cables because the Dell cables weren't the ideal length that I wanted. If you're buying these DisplayPort cables for a single monitor, they'll probably work fine. But if you're considering a daisy-chained multiple monitor setup, I can't recommend them based on my experience.
