Dclobtop 2.3 Quart Whisting Tea Kettle

So on the surface, it appears to be a reasonable, cute little tea kettle, and it does whistle. But there’s several design fails that make me really dislike it each time I use it – the main thing is a lip on the inside around the lid, so when you wash it out, you can’t actually flip it over and get the water out it - it sits in that ring, then when you flip it back up, there’s soapy water still in the bottom! Plus there’s a metal cover between the inside of the kettle and the spout, but it has big holes, so it wouldn’t stop tea leaves or anything, it just stops a brush from going thru so it can’t be cleaned! Then lastly, this is a bit of user error, but the flap on the top of the spout gets stuck open and has to be pushed closed each time, and one time I forgot, so it didn’t whistle and all the water boiled out and the tea bags absolutely charred and burnt to the bottom! Ugh! I scrubbed and soaked and Brilloed, but there’s still blackened stains in the bottom. All in all, it’s just a crummy design and I wouldn’t recommend it and definitely wouldn’t buy any again. Just keep looking. lol Oh! And a lot of steam still comes out around the lid, so you nearly burn your hands trying to pour it.
