This is a great humidifier!
By sherry d. on Reviewed in the United States on April 20, 2023
I purchased the AILINKE 8L Large Ultrasonic Top Fill Humidifier approximately 6 months ago and have been extremely happy with it. My home is just over 1300 sq. ft. and I use it as a whole house humidifier. I live in GA so it works for me, but may not do such a large area in dryer states/areas. It is very easy to use and I basically just fill it up, set it and forget it. Depending on how dry the air is, the tank will last me from 24 hours to a week. I keep mine set on the low mist setting because after trying all of the setting, I found that it really did not make a difference in my overall humidity level in the home to increase it to a higher setting, just made me have to fill it more often. I keep mine set at a constant 55% and it does well in keeping it at that mark. I've never had any problems with it leaking, as I saw complaints about in other reviews. Not sure where it would leak from, as the entire lower part of the unit is just one solid tank and there are no seams or anything to leak from. The only time I have noticed any moisture around it, is if I accidentally spilled water while filling it, overfilled it (there is a fill mark on the little window) or if I had the mist set too high and the air current in my home was pulling the mist straight down so the moisture was collecting on the floor instead of staying in the air. This happened when I had it sitting right beside an air vent one time. You can actually see the mist coming out of the top very well so you can determine easily how the air currents in your home are affecting it. It also seems to be very entertaining to cats and kids, they all want to touch the mist. It's not hot though so they can touch it without any harm. I have problems with mobility, bending and lifting anything heavy so this has been such an improvement over the smaller units I had in the past because I can just open the little flap on the top and pour the water in without having to lift anything to carry to the sink. I just use my little watering can that I use to water my plants to fill it. I did have an issue with it not staying on at one point and I contacted customer support and within a few days I had a replacement. I saw in the reviews that others have said they had an issue with customer service if there was a problem, but it was probably the best customer service experience I have ever had with getting something replaced under warranty. There is a little booklet that comes with the unit (you know that stuff that you usually just throw away)... well, keep it. In the back there is a part that tells you what to do if you have any issue. It gives the email address to send your issue to and you need to include the model number and some other information that is listed there. That's what the warranty requires and if you do that you shouldn't have any trouble, I didn't. (I hate when people complain about something not working when they did not follow the instructions provided. It makes it hard for the rest of us to determine if something is a legitimate complaint when reading reviews. Just my own little pet peeve.) Also, if you email them, check your spam folder for a reply as mine initially went to spam. The customer service rep I worked with, was very pleasant and responded to my emails right away. The process was simple and they didn't ask me to jump through any hoops to use my warranty. Anyway, I had excellent customer service and I would purchase from them again. Oh, the cleaning of the unit, I wanted to address that too, as I saw a review that talked about mold. I don't know what that person had going on, but that has not been an issue with me at all. As I said, I've had mine for 6 months and have only cleaned it once (just need to wipe it down with a cloth). I've never had any mold. I use the UV light that is built in and it seems to whatever it is supposed to do. I've never used the remote control because as I said, I just set it and forget it, so can't really speak to how well that works or not. It is very quiet, I can't hear anything, the only way I know it is working is because I can see the mist coming out and the lights on the front panel show me what the humidity level is right now. It does have a sleep mode and timer too and they work. I don't use them on a regular basis, but did play with them when I first got it to see what all it would do and they worked well. That's about all of the information I know to share with you on this unit. I love mine, one of my best purchases, it has made using a humidifier, which I need for my sinuses, so simple. I know a lot of people are probably like me when looking at reviews and would really like someone to give them real information, so that's why I wrote this, hope it helps someone.

Finally it is working after a month of initial disappointment

Revised review 02/07/2021: Below you can read my initial review of this product in which I gave it one (1) star. Just as inexplicably as it wouldn't work as anticipated (and advertised) about a week after my review it began working. If it had worked this way out of the box I would be giving a five (5) star review but because of the initial failure to work properly out of the box, I can only give it a three (3) although the unit is doing its job very well. Now it is just a question of long will it work properly. I hope a long time! Revised review 03/01/2021: Well, it worked for a few weeks and now stopped again. No mist. The use and care booklet is so poor. I have had to play with thing and still cannot get it working. Did finally figure out that the top part can be separated for cleaning (never shown in user manual) and I keep getting a blinking 88 message. Nothing in booklet tells you what to do or try in these situations. This product is definitely NOT worth the money if for no other reason then the poor user and care booklet. Back to my original thoughts--This is a product that is more about form than function. DON't BUY THIS--SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! Nothing should give you this many problems. First Review: This was a total waste from day one. Was initially impressed by the looks of the unit and was looking forward to its promised performance. I followed all directions, as I always do, to the letter. After two (2) days of running about (12) hours a day, nothing! Hardly any water gone, no visible misting or water vapor, only air. The instructions, under troubleshooting were of no help whatsoever. I would NOT recommend anyone waste their time or money buying this product. I threw away the box it came in and did not want to get involved in a return process so I will just eat the cost. When something comes to me new I expect it to be functional for the purpose intended. This product clearly was not. Save your money! A sad case of form over function.
