Gotham Steel Hammered 10PC Cookware Set (Open Box)

I have been ordering products from Amazon since it's inception and have had a fairly decent experience...until now! My wife asked me to buy her a set of Gotham Steel cookware for Christmas. I got on line and found a 10 piece set (Hammered Design) on sale for $99...JACKPOT!! BUT...Unable to get until Feb. BUMMER!! BUT...Amazon Warehouse had the same set for $94.99... It said, "Condition: Used- Like New- Item will come in it's original packaging, but packaging will be damaged."...JACKPOT!! Package arrived on 12/21, Wife's mother, daughter, and granddaughter in for Christmas from out-of-town, with plans to make Holiday cookies, candy, and treats the following day. I also ordered a set of Gotham Steel baking pans (which arrived several days prior) and my wife had used them and was very pleased. So, when the cookware arrived, My wife decided to open the box early and wash everything so they could use them the next day. BIG BUMMER!! The "package" was NOT damaged at all. The cookware, however, looked like it was 10 years old and had had a chainsaw used to stir what was cooked in it! And I'm NOT exaggerating...much. The non-stick coating was scratched through ALL the layers and the copper coating was scraped off of many places on the outside of ALL the pots. I'm telling you, this set would not sell at a garage sale for $10!! Someone, somewhere, knew this set had no worth, yet sent (and charged) me for it anyway!! Now, not only will my wife not get her cookware by Christmas, but I will have to spend an entire day repackaging, filling out forms, and transporting these worthless pots and pans 40 miles to the UPS store...then wait several weeks to get my money back!! This young man is NOT a happy camper!!!!! As a matter of fact, if there was someone out there who offered what Amazon does, I would possibly quit using them. But I know they are way too big to worry about loosing a customer or two...so...
