They Work!

I purchased two of these to retain my DVD drives in my new build. My MSI mobo only had SATA connectors, but these worked like a champ. I can't tell they're even installed! If you need an IDE drive in your new build, these work flawlessly.

Unable to make it work on Linux

The datasheet says it works on "all major OS". When tis IDE disk is properly hooked up according to the manual, with and external power supply (jumpered to turn on), and the adapter plugged into a motherboard SATA port, Linux (Rocky 9.3) doesn't see the drive. It doesn't show up as any device, nor is there any mention of the device in the system log.
