Sturdy, comfortable hiking backpack.
By Cappuccino_Jack on Reviewed in the United States on September 2, 2020
The Archeon 25L has been the perfect companion on all my hiking trips as of late. Over the past several weeks I've used this backpack from short hiking trails (3-5 miles) to longer 12+-mile trails that have required more intense rock scrambling and moving through brush. This pack has seen me through all of it while holding all the basics and still looking practically new. The pack itself is a standard roll-top. In the front is a large stretchy pocket and to the sides are also stretchy pockets that have fit up to a 40 oz thermos. The interior is just a large space with a pocket for a hydration bladder and small zip-pocket for clipping in keys and holding misc. items. There isn't much interior organization to the pack, but I haven't found that to be a problem since I don't have too many small hiking items that require more pockets. For reference my typical load-out is a small bivy, first-aid kit, lighter, and a tiny mesh bag that contains a squeeze water-filter, a trowel, and some cord. The material is made out of a heavy canvas-like material. This makes it super-sturdy, but at the cost of it being heavier at around 3 lbs. The thick shoulder straps along with the chest and waist straps make this a non-issue for me as it balances the weight well, but the weight is noticeable compared to other packs. The only "complaint" I have is that the back panel isn't as breathable as I would like. There are several thin foam columns that I suppose channel air, but it still gets a little hot and sweaty. All-in-all, its not as bad as using any old backpack, so it is having a noticeable impact, just not as significant as other solutions. All-in-all, I would definitely recommend this pack.

Great Quality Bag, Lacks in Features
By Stephen on Reviewed in the United States on March 9, 2020
The bag is solidly built and everything on the bag is top notch . . . however it is lacking in attachment points and easy access secure pockets. Things can slip out of the front and side panels if your bag tips over. The only external easy access zipper is the rain cover storage at the very bottom of the bag. The internal hydration pack sleeve is not suitable to hold a laptop, mainly due to the lack of space and the curve of the frame pushing up against it. Otherwise, the bag carries weight well, made with high quality materials, the mesh back does it's job, DWR finish holds up to light rain. It just bothers me that for a 190$ bag, a few small feature additions (lash points, equipment loops) would have been more appropriate. I will update if I get the opportunity to test out if I can manage to take the bag onto a plane as a personal item.
