Belsize 16 inch Belt Driven Bike (Open Box)

At this price point the bike should be coming with a seat/saddle that allows forward/backward movement and better pedals. This was for a 42” tall boy and the height of the bike at the lowest seat position allows him reach the floor just a bit passed his tip-toes, which is fine. However, since the seat can’t be moved back, the boy sits too far front making his feet also rest too far front on the pedals, which then causes his feet to constantly slip off the pedals. The pedals also don’t have much grip on them — a better design with more grip wouldn’t have caused more I believe. It’s a great bike and very lightweight, which was exactly what I was looking for since the kid is on the lower percentile in height/weight, but at this price point they should’ve thought better of the seat design and the pedals. The solution would be to buy a new seat with hardware that allows for backward repositioning, but because of how the tube is designed, a new seat will rest higher on the tube than the seat the bike comes with. This isn’t ideal because the boy was already almost on his tip-toes with the factory seat.
