Samsung Galaxy Watch Active2- International - Pink Gold 44mm (Open Box)

I'm very disappointed in what was to be a hopeful investment in our health! I purchased this watch for my friend's birthday on 9/11/20, and another of the grey type for myself. I received them both in good condition via my shipper from the US in early November, 2020 to my home in the Philippines. I and my friend enjoyed using the watches -- not heavily as we are not super athletes -- until June 2021, when unprovoked, the back fell off of this watch. My friend was unable to go through the Samsung website for help, so took it to an authorized Samsung service center in the Philippines. They said they could not honor the warranty, and eventually repaired the watch for the peso equivalent of $86.00. Then in early September my watch started to not charge correctly, and would turn off and on at will, then it stopped working at all. I tried to go to the Samsung support websites, but though I tried several ways, I was told that these sites were not available to me in my location, and I was referred to the Philippine website. There I was also told my warranty could not be honored, and I would need to take it to the same authorized repair place as my friend's watch. When there, they replaced the battery and then found that the off/on function was not working, so had to replace another part. The total cost that I paid last week came to the peso equivalent of about $40. They told me that the watch should not be used in water ?!?!?! so why the swim and lap function and the water shaking function that I used carefully when I swam maybe 3 times with the watch? Anyway, I was so excited to recommend this watch early on, but it became quite a disappointment... even if I had been in the US or could have accessed the care that these wacthes deserved there.
