Working fine, without any issue.

No problem attaching cables, then I spoke with an out of country comcast tech as I tried to setup the computer . . . what a mess! He had me login to administration and my user account disappeared into the computer. From administration I was able to find some of the files and copy over to a flash drive. All of my pictures are gone! Unfortunately many of the pictures were of loved one's who have passed. Using Comcast modems I have never had to go into administration and the computer never had a problem recognizing their modems. Monday I take my computer in and will pay to have a complete reinstall . . . I purchased this modem to save rental fees but the joke is on me. The refurbished modem works fine and other than the lost files and a messed up computer (because I didn't know what I was doing and I don't think the comcast tech did either) I have no complaints. I would STRONGLY urge everyone to backup your files either on a flash drive or the cloud. Don't make the same mistake that I did . . . trusting a comcast tech.

it appeared to be a nice unit but after I got it hooked it up. It couldnt get the internet working. Spent a hour on the phone with my Internet Carrier, with no luck. Called Netgear to be told that my warranty had expired based on the units serial # they did offer 90 days of tech support but any repairs it would need, I would have to pay for. Well after 45 minutes talking to A customer service representative I finally got transfered to a tech support agent, that hung up on me before I could give her the case #. I will never buy anything from Netgear again.

Strong wifi connection. Works well. Easy to set up.

This modem/router is perfect for xfinity/Comcast internet service. Just download xfinity app and setup from app no need to call customer service for the setup internet connection. Also very fast and good wireless range. i am loving it.

First of all, I bought the refurb unit since I rarely have an issue, and saved 70$ (and that being said, they do guarantee it's been tested and works). I had a hard time with getting it initialized, had to have Comcast come out, and the tech said he shows it hung, had to hard reset it twice to complete. Once we got that going, the performance of it was quite good, but I do have to power cycle it from time to time (more often than the default comcast rental). Last three days I've had to power cycle it every day. One thing about that is comcast handles the firmware updates, so even if I wanted to check and see if there's a update needed, I can't because they control that. Most of the time that's fine and convenient, but there are times when I'd like to be able to control that. Bottom line, do I recommend it, yes, but with reservation. The performance is better than the standard comcast rental, but doesn't appear as stable.

I returned xFinity $14+ monthly to rent modem w/voip; but there were not enough channels for WiFi extender, Roku, and PC internet service, So I went shopping for Voice ove internet. I discovered third party VOIP or Voice requires a seperate monthly fee. I realised that I need VOIP WITH the modem; I tried the Netgear c700 and the c700, but I needed the C7100V. It is working. I called Hetgear support, but got routed to a third party. Unable to connect my printers, the tech told me the router (refurbished) was defective and to return it. But Instead I btrought up admin on router, and configureed it with a new passkey, and it works swell!

Connection was easy and the app was no issue. Since I wanted to keep same name and password. It was easy take the change. The hardest, was getting my printer on line. Otherwise everything was pretty straight forward.

Had difficulty in installing devive. Did not want to work. Was told to call Comcast, they said did not have the model c7199v mac address on their file. Once put on their system, it worked great. Very easy to install after that. No where did I see that. The speed is great. Very happy after talking to Comcast about instalation.
