Easy to install and can also work without a smart hub. Note that without the hub it works only locally (I think it uses Bluetooth), you need another component (connect?) to support wifi. I've already configured a code for the contractor to use and one for emergency in case I need to provide the code for a neighbor to enter the house while I'm away. Comes with a door sensor too, with 2 ways to install the sensor: visible and concealed. Once installed you can set the lock to auto lock once the door is closed for a certain time (I set it to 2 min) I'm waiting for my hub to arrive, until then I can only connect to the lock from my phone when I stand next to the door.

REVISED REVIEW: Don't waste your money!
By Ed on Reviewed in the United States on August 30, 2023
I bought three of these, and so far I've not been that impressed. The Yale app is slow to load and to connect. It's just easier to use codes to enter than it is to use the app. And tracking who has come and gone works most of the time, But sometimes it does not report an entry. And on more than one occasion it has become "disconnected" from the WiFi module, and then you have to go through the entire registration process all over again. I would certainly not want to use these for anywhere that didn't have "regular" visitors (i.e., vacation rental or similar). There's too great of a chance that they would fail at the wrong time. (EDIT) After a few months of use, I can now say this was a complete waste of money! More than once I've come to the door to find it unlocked! I even have it set to auto-lock on a 10 second timer, but that doesn't seem to matter. Imagining coming home after a few days away to find your door unlocked! And the app works only on rare occasions. Plus there's still the problems I talked about it my original review above... only now they have become more that just a little annoying. I've regretted purchases before, but never to this level. It makes me want to completely avoid ALL Yale/Stanley products completely.
