I absolutely adore these headphones and they have been my sidekick for so long

I am sad that it seems like this is not being sold anymore because I've had my pair for several years now and it fulfilled its purpose beautifully as bluetooth noise canceling headphones with amazing sound quality. These were my first listening devices that weren't cheap $15 ear buds so it was amazing hearing all the wonderful details in songs that I couldn't hear before. I also didn't realize how much bass these cans had until I recently got a pair of Sennheiser HD 600s and realized that for some genres like club and dance music, my AKGs can be more enjoyable to listen to. These are incredibly comfortable and it's a lifesaver for airplane flights, public cafes, or just being at home with family. The one caveat is that over time, especially if you lean back against seats a lot, the plastic above the cushions will crack. And also not to sound gross, but the cushion on top will smell like head grease after a while so make sure to clean it every now and then. It's a soft suede but I haven't had too much of an issue with a quick handwashing and drying. The cushions also stay soft and smooth for years and it's only been this year that they finally started peeling.Overall, I love these and will miss them when they go to headphone heaven.

Disappointing

The only reason I got these headphones was because they were recommended as one of the best to use with Samsung TV's. And as AKG is a Samsung company, that was the expectation. My older Best Buy brand headphones worked just fine with my Samsung TV and automatically paired with the bluetooth unlike a pair of Sony bluetooth headphones. They had good range and good battery life and only cost just north of 50 bucks. So why would I buy headphones that cost almost 200 bucks?!? Not sure what happened but at some point, the older headphones got uncomfortable to wear and started digging into my skull. I bought the N7000's hoping the investment would be my last and because of confidence in Samsung products (I also have a Galaxy) and they'd be comfortable to wear, sight unseen. They came in a fancy box and had some basic cables and attachments. I would not need any of these except for the charging cable because, again, I only need to use them with my TV. The headphones did fit somewhat tightly but were noticeably more comfortable than my previous ones. They were also were clearly made of higher quality materials than your typical budget headphones. The other big difference was that I had to ditch my micro-USB cable and use the provided USB-C cable instead to charge the headphones. I'm familiar with USB-C because of my Galaxy but that already limits my charging options. It fully charged in about 3 or 4 hours and paired with my Samsung TV smoothly and automatically. The noise cancelling feature was fine, though I'm no audiophile who can comment on it nor was it my main reason for using the headphones. Anyway, the sound quality was better than acceptable, good even. I was able to use the headphones for about 3 days before needing to recharge, but here was the issue. My other USB-C charger (that I use with my Galaxy and has a much longer charging cable) was not compatible with the headphones at all. I had to use the shorter cable that came with them. So instead of being able to charge right next to my TV, I have to charge the headphones in a completely different part of my house and carry the headphones between the two places. A minor inconvenience, but for the price, one that should not have been necessary.Update: I ultimately had to go back from these 200 dollar headphones to my cheap 50 dollar ones. I'll probably save them in case I ever buy a newer Samsung TV where a better bluetooth signal may be available. But after a few weeks of use, I found these expensive headphones kept losing the bluetooth signal and had to be annoyingly reset and reconnected very often even when I was sitting right in front of the TV (6 feet away). I value being able to hear my audio over the purported sound quality and noise cancelling features. My cheap headphones could maintain signal better at near or far distance (20 to 30 feet away so I could hear my TV even when walking around in different rooms) and I am disappointed that these expensive ones could not do something like automatically find idle frequencies or re-establish a weak or distorted connection. There were no firmware updates or support from AKG.
