Definitely on the spendier side for a smoker, but it’s a Traeger. It’s solidly made. Temperature is well maintained at a constant temperature range, and it’s very easy to use. My wife thinks this is my best investment yet.

There's a learning curve, and the WiFire feature seldom works...

There's definitely a learning curve when changing from a gas fired grill (Weber Genesis Gold) to a pellet smoker. The pellet smoker is NOT a grill! Once you have accomplished that - you're good to go. The unit is well built and easy to use. The availability of different pellet blends (although kind of pricey) makes fabulous tasting food. But don't buy it for the WiFire technology. Traeger has had all kinds of problems with it, and in my case I've NEVER been able to use it. I've contacted the dealer and Traeger several times, and despite all their help it still does not work.
