Review CHANGE (P.O.S. (Update 6-2-20))

I am leaving my second review up for information purposes but my rating has greatly improved though it has taken some time for Amazon and Chefman to get it right. But they did get it right. Chefman was amazing to work with. The young lady that had my case worked her butt off to get me a replacement unit. This was going on through the first of the pandemic and this woman from Chefman worked tirelessly. She even sent a regular toaster oven to hold me over until the replacement could be found. Amazing!! Now that I have had my replacement for quite some time I've been air frying up a storm!! I honestly use my air fryer every day. Toasted sandwiches for lunch; reheated pizza is incredible; french fries...The list is endless. I sincerely appreciate how hard Chefman worked to get it right. This is my second review just shy of 6 months. I learned to uses my air fryer past its "issues" (see my first review below) but two days ago it just quit. The only thing working on it now is the toast function. I've unplugged it, waited over 24 hours; nothing. I used it so much I actually bought another basket from Chefman. Now I can't get anyone to answer the phone. So, I've left an email............I sincerely hope I have a positive outcome. This is FRUSTRATING! My first review. (I love my air fryer. BUT, the elements never get red hot. It takes at least 10 minutes to get to temp and I just don't think it gets as hot as I've seen other machines. It is my first air fryer but what I've seen on infomercials this one doesn't stack up. I also didn't pay a fortune for it.)

Not well made, to the point of being hazardous

We got two versions of this product. The first - the one we originally purchased - overheated out the back of the oven (in the process melting a bunch of electrical wires) and stopped getting hot after about 11 months. We filled out the warranty card, and to their credit customer service was very accommodating and sent us a replacement: the “upgraded” model. Unfortunately the timer dial on this model doesn’t work right, and hasn’t since the day it arrived, so that when it reaches the end of the set time it never “dings” or actually shuts off. It’s like it gets stuck right before that point. THIS IS EXTREMELY HAZARDOUS! I had a feeling that a toaster with this many functions at that price was too good to be true. Ultimately, even at this relatively low price for this type of device, you’ll be wasting your money by going for the budget option on a multi-functional toaster oven like this one. Now, after spending over $100 on a toaster that lasted under 2 years (between the one I got and the replacement), I’m going to end up buying a more expensive one anyway. Do yourself a favor: buy the nicer version to begin with. You’ll save money in the long run.
