Comfortable size without feeling too bulky. Holds a perfect amount of water for most rides. I use this while mountain biking as well as on more long-distance road bike rides. It's nice to have the small zipper pocket at the top for a small snack or let's face it, some ibuprofen. The larger pockets are perfect for keeping valuables, snacks, patch kit, and mini pump handy. The adjustable pocket also is nice for those moments when you need to stow an extra layer.

Not the quality I expected

I'm a little disappointed in the quality, frankly. It doesn't seem up to the standards that I expect from Camelbak. Right out of the package, the bite valve stem was very loose, so I had to cut an inch off of the hose and re-attach; also, the hose had a permanent kink. The hose itself has a larger diameter than older models that I own, plus the wall of the hose is thinner, which would account for the kink. It just comes across as cheap. Disappointing. It's been awhile since I last purchased a Camelbak. (I own and have gifted many of them over the years), so I can't say if it's just the child's version that is the problem, or all Camelbaks. I'll check when I'm at a sporting goods store. Finally, the bite valve switch is very stiff and difficult for small fingers to operate. PS: I'm filing a warranty claim now with Camelbak for a parts replacement. I'm hoping for a good response.
