Panasonic PANASONIC ES-LV97-K Electric Razor for Men, Electr

I have been using Philips Norelco shavers for more than forty years, but I was not entirely satisfied with the closeness of my shave. This shaver comes highly recommended both in Amazon reviews but also in reviews online. I've used it for more than two months and have been comparing it to the Philip rotary shave I purchased on Amazon more than two years ago. Conclusion: This shaver gave a closer shave on my cheeks than my two year old Philips shaver, but it did not do as well on my neck as thw old blades on my rotary. I have switched back to the old shaver. Several other minor annoyances. First it did not come with a stand, which I had to purchase separately. It is very difficult if not impossible to get the shaver in the stand properly except under bright lights. The Philips stand also bought separately is much easier to use. I've never oiledl my Philips. I guess I should have oiled it regularly but it works just fine without it. And as I've said, I've used these rotary shavers for more than forty years. A puzzle. When I shave with my Philips and open it to clean it small pile of whiskers come out even after one morning's shaving. When I open the Panasonic even after three or four days at most there is a little dust inside. I don't know where the whiskers are going. Lastly somewhat deceptive advertising. The Panasonic is advertised as having 5 blades. There are only two cutting blades. The other "blades" are supposed to help direct the whiskers into the cutting blades. Otherwise the ARC is a good razor. I just prefer my old rotary.
