Cuisinart SS-15FR 12 cups Coffeemaker Silver (Open Box)

I like drip coffee, my wife prefers Keurig coffee. We also like different coffee types, haf-caf for me vs flavored fully caffeinated for her. I like 2-3 cups in the morning, she likes 1. It seems like this kind of machine would serve our coffee needs. She has no problems with the Keurig, operating it or drinking it. I have been plagued with coffee grounds in my coffee. The main solution is to make sure that the plastic basket is fully, and I mean completely, seated down into the machine. Don't just push it down till it clicks firmly into place, but also give it an extra downward push to make sure. Also place the conical filter flush on the bottom of the basket. Make sure the carafe is positioned properly and then check the basket and filter again. Most of the time this works. I have also limited the amount of coffee to 4 scoops, and I am not sure what I would do if I had guests and wanted a full pot and wanted to use 6 scoops, because it seems like this would cause an overflow resulting in ground in the coffee. It appears that the valve at the bottom of the basket is too restrictive of the coffee flow. Make sure you do everything you can to make sure it is fully open as widely as possible. After 3 weeks I am starting to get the hang of this. UPDATE 11/30/22: I have been following the procedure above in which I make sure the basket is completely and fully seated in the machine and have had no problems. Since no one else has mentioned this in their reviews, maybe my machine has a rough edge or burr in the plastic parts making it a little harder to seat the basket? I still have not tried to brew 12 cups with 6 scoops of coffee grounds.
