In purchasing this integrated handleset and deadbolt, I figured it would be perfect for my Aqara smart lock, which doesn't require the entire deadbolt replacement, and leaves the outside form intact (many smart locks replace the deadbolt on the outside AND the inside, which doesn't allow for these integrated types of handle/locks). Unfortunately, once installed, I discovered that this product will also not work with smartlocks that use the deadbolt torque blade (Aqara, August, etc); it's low-profile deadbolt design has a secondary throw mechanism built into the manual lock on the inside of the door. Hence, removing the manual lock portion for the Smart Lock negates the ability to lock (from the inside or outside). Despite the killer looks, the inability for this product to work with any smart lock results in a single star.
