NOT the equivalent of a 100 watt bulb.

When buying these bulbs, you are paying strictly for the look of the bulbs. These give off approximately the same amount of light as a 60 watt bulb...nowhere close to a100 watt bulb. I don't know, having just purchased them, but other reviews suggest life span is that of a regular incandescent bulb...or less. If that proves to be true...I'll forget the "look" and go back to standard LED bulbs which have a proven track record of wattage equivalency and lifespan. I regret buying these... Update 6/22: Got tired of the dim light...replaced the bulbs in my lamp with "regular" style 100W equivalent LED bulbs. The new bulbs easily put off twice the amount of light, at the same supposed watt rating. They don't have the old fashioned look...but they perform MUCH better.
