This is the real deal Eton Elite Executive Radio
By Gary B on Reviewed in the United States on March 4, 2025
Note: This review is for seller G-Bound only. This review does not apply to other sellers. Before buying from other sellers please check seller reviews. For those wondering about this item at the price ($55 when I purchased) despite the item descripton... I can assure you this is the real deal Eton Elite Executive Radio that generally sells for (way) "more". I bought two of these radios. I bought the second one after thoroughly checking out the first one. They arrived: - In a sealed box (does not look like it was resealed or a return) - Sticker on the box said "new" - Complete - No blemishes or scratches or fingerprints - I tested almost every function and band - fully functional. So, if you wanted an Eton Elite Executive radio but not willing to pay the typical retail price then this item is a no-brainer. Go for it.

Radio became totally unresponsive on battery power
By Stratman2 on Reviewed in the United States on June 6, 2025
I'm disappointed with my Eton Elite Executive. It worked for a few days on a single charge of NiMH Eneloop AA batteries and then I replaced the exhausted ones with a freshly charged set. It worked for less than 24 hours before the unit suddenly locked up. None of the keys responded to presses, not even the Power On key. The supplied AC/DC adapter only works on 110v power outlets, so I had to buy my own AC/DC adapter for 240v. The radio was able to switch on, but as soon as I cut off the external power the Eton's keypad froze again. Factory resetting did nothing, even after resetting it multiple times. Radios like the Eton Elite Executive are meant to run on battery power and the external power supply is meant to charge the batteries internally. I bought this radio for its shortwave band and any experienced shortwave listener knows that using the AC/DC adapter interferes with shortwave reception. I would gladly give the Eton EE 5 stars only if it worked properly on battery power. Since it doesn't, one star is all it gets. This radio is going back to Amazon as it's considered unreliable. Buying an Eton radio as I later found out, is like buying the lottery.
