Mobile Pixels Duex Plus DS Review The Mobile Pixels Duex Plus DS is a solid choice for anyone who wants to work on the go or boost their multitasking abilities. Here's a closer look at its pros and cons to help you decide if it's the right fit for you: Pros: Lightweight: Even when attached to my laptop, I don't feel a significant weight increase. I believe it will be easy to carry around. Easy Setup: The included instructions for attaching the monitor to your laptop are very detailed. Once attached, it's truly plug and play - no additional software installation is required. Eye-Care Mode: Even though it's a portable screen, it comes with an eye-care mode, which is important for me as someone who uses it for extended periods. Versatile Ports and Cables: The Duex Plus DS comes with various ports and cables, making connection to different devices easier. The extra magnets are a handy addition, especially if you use multiple laptops. Cons: Potential Flex in Back Panel: I haven't done any stress testing yet, so I can't comment definitively on performance. However, I noticed a slight movement in the back panel when adjusting the screen angle. While the magnets seem to secure it well, the slight flex feels a bit unusual. Overall, these are minor observations and the Duex Plus DS remains a compelling option for its portability, ease of use, and thoughtful features.

Only Worked for 2 Days
By Goldie on Reviewed in the United States on August 29, 2020
My monitor crapped out after two days of use. I spoke with an Amazon tech consultant who said it sounded like there was a problem with the device and suggested I exchange or return it. I asked for a refund. Here's what I thought before it died: (I have a 2017 13" MacBook Air.) PROS: *Wasn't hard to set up. *It's portable. *I didn't want a monitor to take up much space, and this can even hang over the edge of a small table. Cons: *It costs a lot more than an economical larger monitor. *The screen quality is good enough but could be much brighter. *When it's attached to the back of the laptop, it can't sit flush. It has to hang over one side a bit to allow the screen to swivel. No big deal, but it looks clunky. *It is easy to remove the monitor from the laptop when it's not being used. It attaches with magnets. The metal discs that adhere to the laptop cover, however, are meant to stay on the laptop, and they add considerable weight. This compromised the lightness of my MacBook Air. They are also unattractive. *You have to use a blow dryer to heat the glue to remove the metal discs. I didn't feel comfortable attaching them to my laptop directly and bought a cover, which also added weight. (The blow dryer worked, and there were no marks left on the cover when I removed the discs.) If the monitor worked I would have kept it and hoped that someday there would be a more elegant model.
