This review is for the MSI Review Rebate Program

I purchased this board coming back from buying an ASUS X470F coming from an MSI Z77 platform. The board was an absolute nightmare to work with and had constant issues.I learned my lesson and have come back home to MSI. Great quality out of the box, board feels incredibly sturdy. IO is fantastic and the WIFI works absolutely phenomenally (completely saturating my 100MB/s connection). Header locations are great, plenty of chassis fan headers and i really appreciate them being located along the bottom of the board for cable management purposes. An absolute TON of sata ports, and the two USB connection locations really help. VRM heatsinks feel beefy and plenty adequate for overclocking, given reasonable airflow over them. Temps seem great. In contrast to ASUS, this MSI board works fantastically out of the box. No BIOS tweaking required, but even when I did update the BIOS the flashback feature made this a no brainer. No worries of bricked boards like other brands. The chipset fan is remarkably quiet too given its size. I had heard things about x570 fans being loud, but this is whisper quiet. Also I *REALLY* appreciate its intelligent location underneath the PCIE x16 slot rather than right against it like other brands.BIOS itself is a breeze to work with, and POST times are lightning fast in comparison to other brands. PCIE 4.0 is also incredible. Its actually so fast im not even sure what workload i can throw at it to make it sweat. NVME SSDs are a must have with this, and the board has a fantastic heatsink to compliment it.Speeds on my 3800x are great too. Hitting advertised boost out of the box which really REALLY surprised me.Really I cant say enough great things about this board, thanks MSI for reminding me what good quality is.

MSI MPG X570 Gaming Edge WiFi Motherboard

I so wanted this to work. Bought a 3600 and a b450 motherboard to begin with. Enjoyed it so much went back and got a 3900X 32gb GSkill Trident RGB and this Mobo, couple 2TB nvme ssds and was gonna see who could stop me with a 5700 behind it all.Unfortunately, didn't go down like that.Got the Board, which btw its amazing looking and astetically its super pleasing to look at and I know if done correctly it can be a heck of a board, unfortunately the top PCI-e slot didn't work and took a good bit to diagnose.Along with that there was some bios "instabilities" that I'd prefer not to be there with this sort of money being paid irregardless of early adopter and growing pains with new releases. Both Nvme drives installed, with a Mech in a sata port = no post or Boot loop after posting.Single nvme with mech in port = boot but random freezing and crashes even after a bios update. At this point it's just being attributed to bad luck and a bad board. Can't always come up 7's. Replacing with the same board, or an Asus ROG or Crosshair. Whichever i can find at this point.really wanting to play around with my 12/24 but dont want to see half potential in my b450 board. gonna store it back and wait till the new board comes in.Looking forward to seeing all the new features, bells and whistles that comes along with x570 and 3rd gen ryzen.MSI makes good products as far as graphics cards go, this will be my first board MSI product ive bought in the board catagory and chalking this one up to what it is, a bad part from a good group and Mfg.Lets see what the next one brings, then we can investigate further.
