BUYDEEM 4-Slice Retro Toaster (Open Box)

2 person household, ~ 10 -15 slices a week. 3 months shy of 2 years and one side (2 slots) stopped working (lever no longer locks down so no power). My wife says it toasts slowly. One other frustration is that the indicator mark for the toast darkness is a black mark on the recessed front of a black dial. That would be marginally useful if we were 4 feet tall. This type of design "feature" is not uncommon which makes me question whether toaster designer ever make toast or maybe bean counters say it would cost us $ .001 per toaster to make it readable, not worth it. I just drew a line on the outside of the dial with a silver sharpie but should you really have to do that? It was OK till it 1/2 died. Will look elsewhere else for our replacement. I would give it 2 but I think it's really about average for toasters today which have become another disposable commodity.
