Carhartt mens Relaxed Fit Washed Duck Fl

I have a handful of older carhartt vests and jackets as well as coveralls and for some reason this new batch of clothing just feels cheaper, the canvas on this vest is way thinner than my older maybe 8 year old carhartt vest. But my main issue is the sizing, My old vest is a XL tall and it fits perfect I ordered this one in 2xl tall since I’ve gotten a bit wider in 8 years and aside from being snug this vest is way shorter than the older ones. I was expecting to be the same length as my old one but it falls short easily by 3 inches. This new vest barely reaches the waist of the pants, it’s not all bad I suppose since the lining is much better and the new inner pockets are convenient and secure for stuff like wallets and phones. But I do feel like carhartt has changed quality standard's to meet demand on a wider scale than before. Not to sound like a grumpy old man but yeah they’ve changed, I have to be more careful and only buy in store since they’re inconsistent now.
