Hand's down - it's impressive!!

Update 10/1/2020 Eufy, if you are reading this, there is only one flaw with your machine, but it falls into the 10% of "I'm not giving up the 90% of what I like best about your machine. The drawback is the overall height and its where the lidar pops out, it's just a little too high for some buffet tables and dressers with a scalloped bottom. Eufy finds its way in, but has trouble finding it's way out. The rest is great! Hope more are in stock soon, going to send one to mom. Update: 10/17/2020 So far I've tried most of the 360 line of robots and RoboRocks. What I've learned is this: The 260, roborock and eufy all share many of the same parts, but they are worlds apart. Eufy continues to stand out as the best and here's why. I ran the 360 on my first floor which is 100% hardwoods with a few throw rugs. The 360 had taken the longest and picked up very little (we have 3 mini daschunds), the robot rock did it's thing and picked up little. Now you are probably thinking "wait a minute, why would you expect the 2nd vacuum to pick up anything?" Well, i'll tell you that after I ran the eufy last, it completely filled up the bin as it does every day I run it and I was actually quite surprised as well and yes, all bins were checked before the robos did their thing. Eufy has the best suction, the best cord to put in an outlet with another appliance. The 360 used a universal plug and placed the plug in for your country, but it had taken up too much of the outlet to be useable. Software: 360 and RoboRock used basically the same software with different names and they were both pretty bad. Eufy has a robust software and it easily connects to the network. Both Robo and 360 failed and probably why they receive only 3 starts on the app store. I also returned the i7+ iRobot because it ran like an old clunker and it was very loud. All 3 machines including eufy, 360, and roborock are all very quite. Who's the best Positive review. Height - with the laser this is just over 4.02" iRobot i7 is 3.62" Why am I posted the height, now that I've had a chance to use the Eufy L7 for a bit, it seems that it's about 1/4" too tall for most furniture. We ordered both the i7 irobot and that will arrive later this week and I'm guessing it will work better with our scalloped bottom buffet cabinets and a few other things. The Eufy would sometimes have difficulty entering and leaving some furniture with scallops and one of our beds with frames. not a big deal and I will update later on how the irobot performs compared to Eufy. I'm going to leave my review short as others have already gone into the details. It's very quiet and as close to quiet as the new low decibel dishwashers. Provides extra suction when on carpets. When I saw this thing spinning and bumping into stuff, I wondered if I bought a lemon. Give it TIME to impress because it's learning and you'll know it. Also believed it was going to be stuck under scalloped bottom buffets and sofas - not a chance, it will fuss a bit just like all of us, but somehow it magically does a little spin and finds its way out. My only advise other than to give it time to learn is to probably pick up obstacles for the best clean, of course it's going to make it's way around obstacles, but it can't move them for us to clean underneath. The early fun is watching it learn and being impressed by what it does after the learning curve. My review is based on vacuuming and tonight I will run the mop. 11/13/2020 Mopping was great. We have dogs so I found it's best to vacuum in the morning and "Vacuum Mop" at night. The unit can disable vacuuming while mopping, but I chose to use both. The app can be set for light, medium and heavy water flow for mopping and my first try was on low. There was enough water to clean about 1000 square feet of area. Square footage is less than the actual space because of normal obstacle like floor islands, cabinets, furniture, etc. Intervention - Our entire house is wall to wall hardwoods with tile in the bathrooms. The unit has a bit of trouble climbing from hardwood to tile over the threshold (it teeters), but it seems to be okay leaving. The 1/8 of an inch difference was the straw that broke the camels back. I wasn't too upset about it, it is a machine and there's an 80/20 rule to life. We can't have it all and the 20% really isn't an issue in the case of the robot. Nothing is perfect is how i feel and we are delighted by the 80% of what it does do. We are so happy with the Eufy L70 that I will be buying one for my mother. Yes, I would highly recommend to anyone interested in a robot vacuum.

Unreliable. product, very poor customer service
By Diana Yousef on Reviewed in the United States on August 11, 2020
I've owned a few of these units--they don't work for long, and contacting customer support for help is a horrendous experience--where the rep made apparently erroneously instructed me to send back a unit for a refund, didn't refund me the full amount, and then it turns out he wasn't supposed to issue the refund (even though I returned the unit), so decided to correct that by first sending me threatening emails and then voiding out the warranty on the unit I still owned. I'm still trying to get that resolved, because now THAT unit also doesn't work... The up-shot is that this is a REALLY unreliable product and customer support is terrible, where they make mistakes and then try to punish the customers for those mistakes. Again, I've been dealing with them since Dec 2019, so this review comes from extensive interactions and I have emailed to prove what happened. POOR PRODUCT: I've owned 3 of these units, the first one purchased in Dec 2019. None of them has lasted more than a few months, and 1 of them started to malfunction within a few days. One gave a recurring Error #18 which I couldn't resolve (I tried to do all the troubleshooting--Eufy doesn't provide good documentation for troubleshooting at all), so this ended up being a warranty replacement. The replacement unit lost all ability to navigate within a few months, so it's essentially useless now--it goes around in circles aimlessly and crashes into things without course-correcting. Another unit I had kept giving a recurring Error #14, again I couldn't troubleshoot it, so that one was also replaced. Within two days, the replacement stopped recognizing that the mop attachment was attached and wouldn't mop anymore. I ended up having to return that unit. TERRIBLE SUPPORT: My experience with customer support has been a nightmare. The second unit I had (the one with the recurring Error #14) was given to me new in unopened packaging as a gift. I only used it a few times when the constant error started randomly. The customer rep decided that it should be replaced (apparently each unit comes with a 1-time warranty replacement). So I packaged it up, sent it back, and received a replacement unit. This was the unit that stopped mopping after 2 days. So I contacted customer support again. At this point, they said they can only refund me if I sent it back, and they sent me a return label NOT for that unit, but for my OTHER unit (the one I actually purchased on Amazon). So, I reminded them, I wasn't returning my purchased unit, but the gifted unit. So the rep suggested that, since they couldn't refund me on any "original form of payment", since I didn't purchase it, they would send me an Amazon e-gift card to my Amazon account. So, I packaged it up in its original box and sent it back. I received an e-gift card on my Amazon account for the sale purchase price (and not the taxes). Then the rep started emailing me to say that unless I produce the original receipt for that gifted unit, either I would have to send back the refund or they would void out the warranty on my PURCHASED unit (the one I myself bought on Amazon in Dec 2019 that I still had in my possession). Before sending it back, I had never been asked for the receipt, and again, because it was a gift, I didn't have that. So to correct for their mishandling of this situation (apparently they aren't supposed to service "gifted units" without proof of purchase, now we had a mess). The customer rep decided that the way to fix his mistake was to tell me to send back the refund or he would void out the warranty on my other unit (the one I purchased myself). But of course, there was no mention of the fact that I had sent them back the basically new (yet not properly functioning) gifted unit--so I was either going to out both the vacuum and the refund or the vacuum and the warranty protection on my OTHER unit. I told him NOT to void the warranty on my other unit. A supervisor stepped into the email exchange that this point and agreed it was improper to void the warranty on my purchased unit to remedy the error regarding the gifted unit, but he repeated the demand for me to send back the refund (again, why should I do that when (a) it wasn't my error in implementing the servicing policies and (b) I had already returned the refunded unit to them?????). So I stopped communicating with them, since it was getting stupid. A month ago, my purchased unit stopped working properly (it can't navigate anymore--as I described above). I waited a month to call customer support, since I'm still somewhat traumatized by their past treatment of me. After I provided my Amazon purchase order number, the rep informed me that he couldn't help service this unit because in fact, the warranty on this unit had been voided (despite the above-mentioned promise from the supervisor) and their records show that I was refunded for that PURCHASED unit. To be clear: (a) I WAS NOT refunded for that unit--if I had been, I would have received refund to my credit card that I used, not a e-gift card; (b) I would have been refunded the taxes as well as the purchase price I paid; and (c) the order on my amazon account would have shown that this item was returned and refunded, which it does not. So really, what happened is that Eufy customer support made an error on implementing their warranty policy, and to correct it, decided to come after me for remedy, and if I don't send back the refund (which again, was for a unit I legitimately returned to them in good order), they would go behind my back (despite the supervisor's assurances) and void the warranty on my other unit that I purchased from them. This can't even be legal. This is a POOR PRODUCT and it is backed by DISHONEST CUSTOMER SERVICE. Don't do it....

I purchased the Eufy L70 when it came out on Amazon's daily deals mainly because I have had a great experience with the Eufy brand, having purchased their 11S and the smart-scale in the past that have held up over years of use. I wanted mapping and mopping and so initially got a Deebot Ozmo 930, and then saw the Eufy come out with their own model so I thought I'd compare and do a review. Eufy L70 vs. Ecovacs Deebot Ozmo 930. - The EufyHome app is much more stable than the Ecovacs App, and the mapping is not persistent/frequently needs to be reset entirely on the Ecovacs. If you pick up the Deebot it assumes it is relocating and wipes the stored map (very annoying). The EufyHome app is simple to use, easy, and fast. - The Deebot can hold a lot more water than the Eufy, and the Deebot knows when it is on carpet vs hardwood/flat flooring (see the screenshot with the markings showing this). This would be great to allow it to make a map and mop only in the places without carpet all on its own, but in practice this just does NOT work and it frequently tried to mop my carpet before I shut it off. - The Deebot can climb up onto thicker rugs like a shag rug (see picture for reference), and the Eufy simple tries and fails. That being said, the Deebot frequently gets stuck on the shag carpet, so frankly I'd be wary about any robot vacuum being reliable and "good" for thicker rugs without needing active assistance. - Zone cleaning is much more intuitive on competitors apps such as Ecovacs, Neato, and others which after making a map create their own "zones" so it's a simple tap to select exactly where you want cleaned. With the Eufy you have to draw a box around which area you want to clean, which isn't hard, but is extra work. - There are two spinning brushes on the Deebot, compared to just 1 on the Eufy. Don't know what practical impact it has, but they both roughly pick up the same amount of dirt after doing a full apartment cleaning. - The Deebot is noticeably quieter than the Eufy, but neither is silent enough to watch TV without being annoyed by it. - The Deebot gets stuck much more frequently than the Eufy, and lasts a lot less on battery time. Eufy L70 Pros. - Excellent and reliable mobile app (this alone makes a big difference and frankly is the reason I'm sticking with Eufy) - Well-built, easy to clean and maintain and comes with everything you need in the box - White color means less scratches show up and it bumps into things very infrequently. - Easily worth the premium over "non-mapping" robot vacuums, makes clean maps and is very efficient in how it cleans. (please note the image I included is the total time Eufy took to do a full vacuum of my apartment as well as a full mopping of the hardwood surfaces.) - Does light vacuuming as it mops to prevent dirt from sticking as it gets things wet. - Connects to Google Assistant easily - Gets stuck very few times and has a long battery life (can recharge and finish the job if it needs more time) Eufy L70 Cons. - Can't create it's own "zones" and makes you manually make them after it creates a map of your place. - Water tank is fairly small, and needs to be refilled at least once asks even for my apartment - Cannot climb onto thicker rugs like shag rugs and just avoids them entirely. - Is not a multi-floor capable unit (if you need that function I'd recommend looking at higher end robot vacuums like the Neato D7 and higher end Roomba models). - Will not go mop an area like a bathroom if it requires it to cross carpet (needs to be physically picked up and moved there). - Not a quiet robot vacuum, and because of the added height over the other Eufy models won't fit under low-profile furniture. Final Points to Consider: While a lot of these mapping robots will probably serve you fine, I spent a lot of time reading up on various units and brands because what mattered to me was having a low-maintenance, mapping capable, reliable robot vacuum that just-worked. You can spend anything from just over $100 to well over $1,000. With the Eufy L70 (especially on sale like I got it) - it's simply I think the most reliable, low-maintenance robot vacuum/mop combo you can get with the best price-to-performance ratio. It's definitely worth the added cost it over the cheaper random-cleaning robot vacuums. If you want something that functions on multiple floors and has auto-emptying features etc you just have to spend a lot more. For most people I think the Eufy L70 will do just fine and hits that sweet spot of doing most of what you would want and not cause you a headache trying to get it to work.

I’ve been using Eufy robovacs for months now, and this is one of their best. It is their first “mapping” robovac that is capable of mapping out your home and navigating intelligently around it while it vacuums using a built-in laser to determine distances to walls and objects in its environment. With this map you can go into the app and create no-go zones where you do not wish the robot to go, or you can point it to a particular area/room that you want it to focus on. Additionally, this unit is a “hybrid” and is capable of doing some rudimentary mopping of the floors. I have not utilized this feature yet (the device just came out a few weeks ago), and I’m not sure it’s as well implemented as the vacuum is based on looking at the manual and the device. I’ll mention a short blurb on that, though, just for information. Vacuuming As a robovac, this is about the same power and quietness as the other higher-end Eufy models. It has some advantages and disadvantages, though. Pros: -More comprehensive coverage. Given that this dynamically maps and determines a pattern to vacuum in as it enters each room, it is more thorough and less wasteful than the semi-random patterns of the other models of robovacs without intelligent mapping/nav. This leads to less wasted time. -Able to intelligently return to dock, both to recharge and to finish its run. This means it is much less likely to get lost on the way back to its charging dock since it knows where that dock is located in the home. Also, if it doesn’t completely vacuum the whole house in one charge, it will return to the dock, recharge, and resume vacuuming where it left off. -Battery life seems pretty good, and considerably better than any other Eufy robovac. On one charge, this can get about 2/3rds of my 2700 sq ft house before returning to charge. Considering how thorough the cleaning is, this is much more than any other Eufy robovac, or other brand robovacs, have done for me. -The app helps locate the device when it gets stuck or throws an error (which is often). Since the smartphone app shows the map of the house and what parts the vacuum has cleaned already, it has a little icon for where the robovac is currently located, making it easy to hunt down when it gets stuck. Cons: -This gets very easily hung up on obstacles that no other robovac is bothered by. This is actually a two-part issue. First, there’s a sort of conning tower, a circular disk about the size of a coaster sitting on top of the robovac that adds more than an inch of height to the device. It has a built-in bump sensor so it will back up upon encountering resistance, but it still gets hung up on everything. It’s sort of like when you whack your thumb with a hammer and then it seems to catch on everything and hurts all the time. This seems to magically find places to get hung up on. This includes low-hanging cables plugged into the wall, edges of furniture (meaning it doesn’t vacuum well underneath furniture), etc. This device seems to already be thicker than other Eufy robovacs, and this added height only makes it worse. It also seems to struggle with minor floor obstacles, including both cables and thresholds in doorways from room to room. I’ve never had any other robovac hang up on these items, including other Eufy models, yet this seems to just get easily frustrated and stops. I suspect this is because it has much less ground clearance, probably to help with the mopping function. -Harder to empty. The earlier Eufy robovacs have an easy to remove and dump dustbin on them. This unit, because of its hybrid nature, requires you to open a flap on top of the device like a car’s hood, pinch a release latch, lift out and then remove the filters to open up the dumping hole. This is likely due to the hybrid capabilities of the device. This dustbin is the same container that you fill with water to let it mop the floors. It’s a much more complicated process, though not really that hard. Just not simple like Eufy’s other machines. -Takes a long time to charge. If it runs and needs to recharge, it will take about 5 hours to recharge to 80% at which point it will resume cleaning. Lithium ion batteries charge fairly fast up to about 80% and then the charge rate really slows down, so it makes sense to charge only to 80% since that will permit it to complete a full cleaning cycle much sooner. However, since the battery life is longer, presumably the battery itself is larger capacity which means much longer charge times. Mopping Pros: -It can be converted to do rudimentary mopping functions for floors. -It includes all necessary pieces to do this, including a sort of drip-pad attachment to the charge base to prevent water damage to wood floors if the charge base is on wood, not tile. -Automatically detects when you attach the mopping attachments and switches modes. Cons: -Conversion from vacuum to mop takes a long time. In order to switch from vacuum mode to mop mode, you must remove the dustbin and rinse it out, fill it with water (no cleaning solution, only water per the manual), attach a mop pad shoe/attachment to the bottom, and attach a pad. -No cleaning solution allowed. Only straight water, according to the manual, should be used. This seems odd, but I can see how solvents could cause problems with both the robot and the floor, since the floor is not being wiped off. -Cannot both mop and vacuum in one cycle. This makes sense when you think about it. In order to both mop and vacuum, there would have to be separate reservoirs for the water and the dustbin, and this would make it even bigger and more unwieldy. Suggestions for Eufy: -Make a standalone, mapping vacuum and mapping mopping robots. Don’t combine them. I feel like this could be a much superior vacuum if it were focused on that task alone, as the navigation capabilities already make it superior to the best previous model. A dedicated mopping model would likely do a better job mopping, too. -Find a way to make it less tall, or at least integrate the laser sensor on top of the device better so as to be less likely to get hung up on furniture, cords, etc. This would be much easier for a dedicated vacuum. -Make the dustbin easier to access and empty, or better yet, create an external attachment that empties out the bin automatically at the charging station like the high-end Roomba has. -Allow us to use some sort of cleaning/mopping solution with the device, even if it is in-house Eufy brand. Better yet, select a mild cleaner that is commonly available at the local store that can be added/poured in easily. Overall This is a great value for a mapping/navigating robovac of this quality, especially if you can catch it on sale. The mopping features seem poorly thought out and implemented, though I admit I haven’t tried them out (mostly because first impressions are that it won’t do what I want). As a vacuum, this is probably Eufy’s best model right now, and I have (and still use) their previous top-of-the-line model.
Great Technology and Support

I bought this vacuum for my wife 6 months ago, and we've been using it ever since. It's awesome, and has saved us many hours of cleaning our floors since then. Our experience with it has been primarily positive, although there are a few things that I think could be made better about it, that I've listed in the cons. We have had one issue with the unit where the mop mode stopped working (the unit wasn't dispensing water onto the mopping pad). Eufy support was super responsive, and quickly sent us a new dust collector and water reservoir. That didn't solve the problem, so they replaced the unit for us. Excellent, responsive service. Our experience with the Eufy L70 Hybrid has been overwhelmingly expensive. Pros: * Strong suction cleans quite effectively. I appreciate the ability to set the suction power in schedules - we can run it on quieter settings at night so that it doesn't wake us up. * The device does a great job mapping the house. The app is quite good, and the ability to set boundaries is awesome. I wouldn't buy a robotic vacuum without this feature. * The battery lasts plenty long enough to clean the entirety of one level of our home (~1000 square feet) with about 50% battery left at the end. * Dust collector (bin) size is adequate. We have two kids and two cats, and the bin can easily go 3-4 days before it needs to be emptied. * This thing has saved us *so many* hours cleaning our house. * Sharing the device with other members of your house so that they can control it from their devices is easy and super useful. * Setup and firmware updates are both easy Cons. All of these are super minor, mostly things that could be improved by software updates * If you move the robot and its charging station by hand, it may be unable to figure out where you put it and need to re-map your house. When this happens, it resets your no-go zones. A minor inconvenience that can be avoided by moving just the charging base, and then driving the robot to it using the manual controls in the app. * The water reservoir for mopping mode takes forever to dry. It would be better if the entire lid could be removed, allowing it to be wiped out as well as dry much faster. * The cleaning history takes a while to load (although realistically I've probably looked at it all of five times) * It would be nice to be able to set multiple "home" profiles and move the robot between them without it "forgetting" its map - i.e. to clean multiple levels of the same house. This could also resolve the forgetfulness issue I noted above. * It would be nice to be able to use a cleaning agent in the mopping water, even it only an agent sold by Eufy.
A Wonderful, but Ultimately Disappointing, Attempt

Having owned and loved our Eufy 30C, we decided to upgrade to the L70 during its debut Black Friday pricing. For nearly a year, the L70 was a reliable, powerful addition to our household. The mopping feature was okay at best, using only water to "wet" our tile/hardwood, but the value came in the significant suction power and the room mapping. Being able to give the L70 a specific area to clean, like the Kitchen only, was an extremely useful and convenient tool. That's not to say the L70 was without fault. It would occasionally fail to appear on the Eufy app (stating it was offline) and requiring us to turn off/on the unit to reconnect. It also had severe volume issues with the L70 screaming at us at full volume at random times (i.e. whenever it reconnected after a power outage), requiring us to increase the volume on the app to full, then back down to the target setting (a process only learned after talking with Eufy Customer Support). And it constantly let us know its sensors needed to be cleaned, even after cleaning. Idiosyncrasies aside, we were very pleased with our vacuum. Around the 1-year mark, our L70 simply quit. It forgot its map, forcing it to remap each time it was activated, then lasting a mere 5 minutes before dying. It would always power down before making it back to its base and have to be re-added to the Eufy app and our network once placed on the base. Customer Service at Efuy/Anker was superior, noting that the battery had failed and we'd need a new one. An odd caveat was that, at the time, Eufy wasn't advertising the replacement batteries and they could only be obtained by e-mailing customer support and requesting a call back in order to purchase. By comparison, we could easily order a new battery via the Eufy app, so being unable to do so on a "flagship" unit was exceptionally odd. Thankfully, we were within the warranty period and the sent us a replacement unit. The replacement lasted just over 1 year. Despite sitting on the base, it kept stating it was low-battery and to connect to the charger. Having followed the advice of online resources and Eufy Customer Support on ways to ensure it was properly connected, the units continued to fail. Eufy Customer Support eventually identified yet another bad battery which, like our first unit, would require us to e-mail the support team to "discuss purchasing a replacement." Battery purchase was our only option as the warranty window was calculated based on the date of purchase for the original unit. To have two units die in relatively short order by the same issue (battery) with occasional use and, in the case of the second unit, never utilizing the mopping feature, is a testament to the L70 being a lemon. Maybe we received two poor-quality units/batteries in a row by chance, but based on our discussions with Eufy Customer Service, the L70 appears to be a known problem-child. Perhaps that's why the G and X lines were delivered so quick to the market after the L70's debut. But the fact that the battery on both lasted barely a year and ordering them from Eufy direct still requires a convoluted dance of phone calls and e-mails, vice simply purchasing via their online store like other models, paints a picture of a company who knows this device is troublesome and is opting to provide the barest of support as the remaining owners with working L70s simply fade into the background. Which is a shame because the device shouldn't be hampered by something replaceable like a battery. When it worked, the L70 was an exceptional product. The mopping was disappointing-to-useless, but the vacuum was superb. Unfortunately, our experience with the device has tarnished our faith in Eufy and Anker. We'll certainly consider buying another vacuum from them in the future, but will be far more cautious and certainly more willing to consider competitors before doing so. The L70 was the personification of "good initiative, bad execution" and will be remembered as more frustration than QoL improvement. And while both units will ultimately make their way to nothing more than a disappointing memory, our 30C continues to clean without issue, without oddities, and without a convoluted process when we eventually need to replace the battery.
Easy to use, smart mapping, perfect for pet owners. The best purchase I made this year.

I have ordered and returned a RoboVac 11S (an older model) because of the lack of mapping function. The 11S was slim and cleaned well, and I had a hassle-free return with the outstanding eufy customer service after using it for a week. So when I noticed eufy launched a mapping vacuum, I placed the order in no time. It might be one of the quickest and best purchases I made on Amazon this year. Pros and Cons of RoboVac L70 Hybrid What I like: 1) Nice packaging and design: Like other eufy products, the packaging and the vacuum itself are well-designed. There is a Quick Start Guide says everything you need to know before using. Similar to 11S, there is also a recommended space for installing the charging station(1.6ft/0.5m to left and right, 4.9ft/1.5m to the front), but it is smaller than that of 11S. I put my charging station in my living room, with not as wide space to the left and right, and the vacuum also returns fine. 2) Easy setup: Initial setup and internet connection were quite easy. Just follow the on-screen reminders to connect it to your phone and WiFi. In the first use, let the vacuum draw a map itself, then you'll see where it had a problem with and do robot-proof or set No-go zone. 3) Cleans efficiently and picks up: The L70 Hybrid maps! It goes through my house in a zig-zag way like an "S". I have a short-haired cat and the L70 Hybrid picks lots of cat hair. It indeed relieves my cleaning burdens. 4) App and Alexa: I never start it manually. Just set a weekly schedule on the app or use voice commands from my Amazon Echo. 5) It mops, which is a plus. What you might need to know: 1) L70 Hybrid is not as slim as 11S, so it may not be able to go under some furniture as 11S did. 11S has a glass top but the L70 Hybrid has a plastic case. Some might prefer the glass top for aesthetic purpose, but I don't. Plastics might be more durable and won't be shattered when something falls onto it. 2) It's a little louder then 11S because its suction is stronger, which is expected. I still think the working noise is acceptable. The L70 Hybrid has a voice alert, whose default volume was disturbing, so I turned down the volume on the app and eventually muted it. 3) Hair entangles to the rolling brush so manually cleaning the rolling brush is needed. Eufy provides a cleaning tool for doing that. It just takes me a few minutes to empty the dust collector and clean all the parts. 4) It might not mop all your house if you have a big house with most hard floors. I have carpeted bedrooms, so I set them as No-mop zones. The vacuum can mop all my tiles or hard floors, but water remains do seem to be enough if it still needs to mop bedrooms (I don't need it anyway). You can add water when you hear the water running out alert. Overall, I do like the L70 Hybrid and glad that I made the purchase!
Our 2nd Eufy, Vacuums Well, Mops not so well--L70 Launched Prematurely (Updated)

We've been using a 30C and are pleased with it, but wanted mopping capability, so we bought the L70 as soon as they were launched. As noted by other reviews, the L70 is taller than other Eufy's and subject to getting caught on furniture. It's built in scanning capability is more thorough and accurate than its predecessors. It's suction is more powerful and able to be adjusted, but is noticeably loud at the max setting. Its run time is much longer than the 30C. We've run it for multiple days in succession across the entire home and are amazed its dirt collector returns near full, but are now running it 2-3 times a week across our 2000 sf, all hardwood home. It's floor mapping is more precise than the 30C in ensuring the entire floor is vacuumed everytime. Compared to the 30C, it is less nimble. It is heavier and not as precise negotiating rugs, doors, stray shoes, etc. It gets stuck on rugs and when it is too tall to continue under a piece of furniture, it continues to proceed and it has enough power and traction to become tightly wedged under the furniture or move smaller pieces of furniture. The mopping capability is disappointing because its swath is not as wide as its mop head. The mop head wetness settings can be increased, but it still will not increase the width of the swath it mops, just makes the same width swath wetter, so the L70 considers one mop pass as covering the floor the width of the machine when it is actually covering a much smaller swath. To mitigate it, we set it to mop the same space twice to mop the area more thoroughly. The microfiber mop head started fraying after 2 uses, so in contacting Eufy/Anker customer service, they committed to sending a new mop head. After receiving no mop head in a few weeks, I followed up and was told their replacement mop heads will be available on Amazon shortly. I searched Amazon after another month with no results, so I contacted them again and was told their replacement supplier was late but offered a used mop head or 2 replacement new mop heads when they arrive. After 4 months since contacting Eufy, no replacement mop heads were sent or available online, nor any replacement parts available. Their replacement part supply chain should be warm before launching it, especially with the knowledge gained from previous models. Update: 6 months after requesting a replacement mophead, Eufy Customer Service sent a replacement kit with all the periodically replaced items, including 2 mopheads. Since it has been 6 months, a couple of items were due replacement according to the suggested hourly usage timeframes. Amazon now carries the replacement kit. Overall, we are satisfied with the L70's performance. We are still surprised to see how much dirt it collects, but the mopping function is leaving streaks on the floor, perhaps due to the worn out mophead we pause and wash during mopping.
Good. But has some flaws you should be aware of before purchasing.

This is an overall good robotic vacuum and mop. As a hybrid device that handles both functions, it is pretty uncommon. In my opinion, I hope such hybrid become more popular as the idea of owning a single device that can handle both needs is quite compelling in the reduction of floorspace for storing such devices and the management of tasks. As for this particular device, it works pretty well. It is fairly fast. About the same speed as an iRobot i7/i8 and faster than the Shark IQ. It has fairly good suction and a smart suction setting that increases suction as needed over rugs and carpets. The default level is fine for my hardwood and tile floors and is fairly quiet at that level. Definitely quieter than both the iRobot i7 and Shark IQ at their default suction settings. Installing the mopping pad module automatically puts the robot into a mopping mode that will try to avoid rugs. It is not perfect in this respect. It frequently tried to mop my floor mats which are not thin by any means. I think this needs to be improved. Something that bothers me is the design of the waste/water assembly. This is a single, removable assembly in the center of the robot. You can easily open the lid and pull this out to empty the waste bin and fill the water compartment. But, as they are a single piece, emptying the dust bin whilst the water bin is full causes it to leak. The rubber stopper at the fill point is not water tight. Also, when filling the water compartment, I find that I must be careful to not get the dust filter wet. Additionally, the water compartment is exceptionally small. Much smaller than the one on the iRobot Braava Jet m6. Probably less than 1/4 the capacity of that device. Similarly, the dust bin is a bit small and since there is no auto-empty function in the base, the small water compartment and dust bin means frequent refills while mopping and having to empty the bin after every sweeping. Of course, the robot will announce this fact and resume where it left off once it's taken care of. I would much prefer separate pieces for the dust bin and water compartment and an auto-emptying docking base. This being said, I was able to get this robot at a quarter of the price of an iRobot i9+. So, I guess you get what you pay for and at that price, it ain't bad. Some other things to note - the lidar room mapping function is no joke. This thing mapped my house as it went. No waiting for the first clean to complete to see a map. It actually even sees areas that it hasn't yet cleaned! Halfway through the first cleaning, the map was showing portions of rooms that it hadn't even entered. The Shark I had took several cleans before I could see a map. The iRobot took one full clean and it was inaccurate. So that feature is impressive. There was also a bit less bumping into things. One downside to the mapping is that the app does not allow for defining rooms. You can perform zone cleaning which is similar but they are one-time tasks and have to be set up each time. I imagine this could be addressed with a software update so I hope Anker/Eufy are getting this feedback. As for size, this device can actually fit under my cabinet toe kicks which the iRobot i7/i8 could not. The lidar array on the top definitely makes it a lot taller than an iRobot i7 as a whole but that's only relevant for fitting completely under furniture. It can get under shallow cabinet ledges just fine. As for actual cleaning capability, I found the vacuuming to be just fine. I din't run any tests, just looked at how my floor turned out. My house is almost 100% hardwood so it's not much of a challenge. It did get stuck on cords and one of my light weight floor mats so be sure to tidy those up or set a no-go zone in the app. Mopping is about what one would expect for a twelve pound robot dragging a wet rag around. It's not going to scrub your floors sparkling clean but it definitely picks up more than just vacuuming. Out of the gate, the mop take a while to get saturated so the first room it hits isn't going to get mopped very well. Battery life is good. It finishes the approximately 700 sq. ft. I need cleaned with more than half of the battery left to spare. TL;DR: fast, effective sweeping. Mopping is okay but no better than a light wiping with a wet rag. Average dust bin with no auto-empty base station and a tiny water compartment for mopping mean fairly frequent emptying/filling of those. Battery life is good. App is decent but could really use a room defining feature.
Great Vacuum but the technology needs to develop more

I like this vacuum and it does well. I have had this for about 2 years now. My biggest complaint is the maps. When you create a map of your house and set all the DO NOT GO areas, the maps seem to disappear and there is no way to get them back. It takes about 2.5 hours for me to create a new map. I don't use the mop function but again, it the map is correct then it will work great. Also, this product claims to be compatible with Alexa - it was when i first got it but now it will no longer work. I have tried to set it up several times and I get error messages. So the vacuum works good, but I think Eufy needs to work on the technology. It sure would be nice if they created a place to save the map in case you lose it so you can reload it. I am retired so I have time to do it, but if I worked I think I would get tired and not have enough time to create the maps. Without the maps it will go anywhere and everywhere and get under beds, tangled in cords, knock over lamps, etc.
