Avoid Motion Scooters at all costs!
By Lynette S. O'donnell on Reviewed in the United States on January 6, 2020
I have written asking. how to return these because the left bud will not connect on either pair. I got an email stating that their techs would review the issue & get back to me. How they were going to review the issue without having the earbuds, but that was what I was told. About a week later I received another email saying thžv. ey were dismissing my dispute. No reason was given & they never even saw the earbuds. So, I’m furious, plus out about $96 & stuck with 2 pairs of Arbus that don’t work. I would highly recommend that everyone avoid dealing with Never Motion Scooters aEver again. They share sloe, very customer unfriendly, & will not return their return policy. I’m one with then & highly recommend that everyone avoid dealing with them. They say now that I’m not eligible for a return because I wanted too long to request it. They were for Christmas gifts & I fo my Christmas shopping early. I didn’t know that they didn’t work until the recipients opened thenM on Christmas. It wasn’t like they were being used fir the time that they say is too long to request a refund. I didn’t know until Christmas &/they are denying me my refund for waiting too long. This seems totally unfair to me. The earbuds weren’t being used during that time. They were wrapped in Christmas paper, sitting in my Christmas room waiting for Christmas. I’m being penalized $94 because I stop early. I am beyond furious.

I purchased these primarily to use for phone calls at work and to listen to music and podcasts when I'm mowing my yard. These are the second pair of wireless bluetooth ear buds that I've tried, and I've been highly pleased. The other pair, off-brand, did not have a good mic, and many people said it was difficult to hear me. With these, I've consistently received positive feedback that everyone could hear me well. I've seen some feedback that the pairing process was difficult. I struggled a little at first too, and the instructions that come with the product are lacking. However, their website has very clear instructions, and after pairing them the first time, I've had no issues since. Now, they automatically pair with my phone as soon as I take them out of the charging case, and I've never had an issue with the individual buds getting out of sync with each other. The fit has been great as well. I went with the standard rubber ear pieces that were on them when they arrived, and they come with a couple other size options as well. They also come with a "removable stability ear gel," but I removed them. I found that they were less secure in my ear with those on. With them off, they have been very secure and have not ever fallen out unexpectedly. They're also very comfortable and do not hurt my ears after extended use. I have listened to music with them, and it sounds find to me. However, I don't have any experience evaluating sound quality and won't pretend to tell you how I think they perform on treble, bass, etc.. Functionally, they work, and that's enough for me.

Firstly, I cannot speak to the long term reliability / function of these earbuds as I have only been using them for about a week at the time of writing this review. Regardless, these have impressed me enough to write this review. I purchased these to hold me over until Bose releases the Soundsport 500s in 2020, but after using these for the last week, I'm not sure I'll be buying them anymore. I'll start with the cons first. CONS: 1. In-ear tips only. Granted this is the most popular style today, but I hate in-ear earbuds as a general rule. With the small tips that were included, I find these to be tolerable, but not particularly comfortable. YMMV. 2. Case size, I appreciate these are larger than the air pods and sound MUCH better, but while the case is reasonable, it is probably 2.5 times larger than the air pods case which I see as the golden standard for wireless earbud charging cases. Also, the magnetic closure on this case is kind of weak, I would have preferred a more solid feeling closure with stronger magnets. That said, it has not yet opened by accident. 3. Finally, the left earbud will periodically disconnect from the right for a split second, probably once or twice every 10-20 minutes. It is annoying, but not bad enough for me to consider replacing them. If this gets worse though, I will replace them as it is only bearable as is because of the relatively low frequency and short duration of these disconnects. PROS: 1. Amazing price; i mean 70 bucks vs. 150+ for pretty much every other pair that can even come close to the sound quality and battery life these have. 2. Fantastic sound quality; I've been using a pair of Bose Soundsports for the last year (the wired bluetooth version) and these are only slightly lower in the sound quality. They do have a less bass heavy profile than the bose though, so although I think the bass is still pretty good, these are not the best option if you like lots of bass. 3. Responsive and intuitive touch controls. I am not generally a fan of removing physical button, but these work very well. One note though, if you use google assistant or alexa (I don't) these cannot be used to initiate voice commands. 4. Good mic and phone call quality. 5. Excellent Bluetooth range; I can easily use these between my upstairs bedroom and the downstairs kitchen without losing connection. Overall, assuming these hold up long term, I will probably continue to use these for as long as they function. If they fail I will update this review, but for now, buy them and you will not be disappointed.

As a fan of Skullcandy’s products since the mid-2000s, I was excited when the Indy’s were released. I have been using a pair of the Power Beat 2s for the last 4 years, and it was about time for me to replace them, so I ordered these as soon as I saw them. They arrived a lot faster than expected so props to the seller for that, but the Indy’s have a few issues. For me, the three things that are most important for wireless headphones are sound quality, connectivity, and fit. Sound Quality: Sound quality is where these standout. Once you get a good fit, the treble, mids, and bass are perfectly balanced. The only complaint I would have about the sound quality is the volume is a bit low. I am an iOS user and while using iTunes with the sound check on they aren’t very loud, turning sound check off didn’t help much either and it increased distortion on bass heavy songs. I also tried with Pandora, Tidal, YouTube, and DirecTV Now and they’re all fairly low. YouTube had a small amount of latency that was barely noticeable. DirecTV Now has no latency at all. The microphone sound quality and voice sound quality during phone calls is not as good as my Power Beat 2s. Connectivity: This is one of the major issues. Music will constantly stop while playing these and I’ve also had issues with the left bud losing its connection completely during a workout which was extremely frustrating. Although the instructions do a good job explaining how re-pair the buds to one another, the process is more complicated than it is with other devices. This may not be a big issue to some people, but switching between devices is a pain. I do not take my phone in the gym or on runs, I stream from my Apple Watch, and switching devices is not a smooth process. Fit: I’m 50/50 on this. The left side fits perfectly, but I struggle with the right bud every time I put them in. I’ve tried different tips and still can’t get a solid fit with the right bud. And this fit is the biggest problem for these to me. Since the right bud is always falling out or halfway in my ear, I’m constantly pushing it in which activates the touch controls…usually me turning them off so, I end up stopping and fumbling around with these for a little while to get it to stay in my right ear. However, this will not be an issue to everyone, so I can’t knock the design too much for my lack of ear symmetry. Finally, would I recommend these or not? It depends on how you want to use them. If you don’t switch devices a lot and have the right sized ears, then I would I say these are pretty good for the price. However, connectivity is something that will need to be worked out or perhaps it’s better on non-iOS devices. I would like to hear feedback from an Android user to see if the volume and connectivity issues are an iOS issue. I’ll say give them a try you can always return them if they don’t’ fit.
Best earbuds I’ve ever owned

I decided that it was time for me to get some wireless earbuds, and rather than go with Apple’s popular (and expensive) AirPods, I decided to stick with Skullcandy, whose earbuds I’ve been using for years in place of the basic Apple ones. They didn’t let me down! The sound quality is good (though I’m no audio technician), and they fit me perfectly once I switched to the larger ear gels. I really like the stability gels they include with these, as I’ve always struggled with earbuds of any brand feeling loose fitting, but these fit nice and secure. Battery life hasn’t been an issue for me, and the Bluetooth range is great for my needs. I really enjoy the touch controls built into the earbuds, and they’re pretty easy to get the hang of. It’s nice that I can still pause my music, turn the volume up or down, and skip songs while my phone is in another room (or just in my pocket). Honestly, just the simple fact of not having to deal with the wires that are part of basic earbuds was probably the biggest thing for me. I’d been dealing with them for years and had gotten used to dealing with the hassle, but going wireless is so much nicer. I can just take them out and pop them in their case in a matter of seconds, which makes wrapping up wired earbuds feel like a rather long experience in comparison. I guess this is a bonus of pretty much any pair of wireless earbuds, but it’s still a difference that I think is hard to appreciate until you’ve experienced it.

After using these earbuds for about three days, I can definitely say, I am disappointed the only upsides to me getting these earbuds is that they have the excellent sound quality that i would expect from skullcandy Post Note: a day after I wrote this review, my Indy Wireless stopped automatically connecting to my phone, as well as connecting to each other. So now, the left earbud turns on, and that's it. a friend of mine can say that the microphone sounds good, idk how good it is after listening to podcasts for about an hour or two at work, they buzz a little bit (but very briefly - about a tenth of a second) and then the left earbud desyncs with the right earbud, playing whatever you are listening to about 1/4 second behind the right one after which you have to turn both of them off and back on wasting about 30 seconds with the terrible touch controls also, while they are comfortable by themselves, they need this rubber coating to make them stay in your ears which makes them ever so slightly too big, making them uncomfortable to wear for more than two hours the little rubbers dont stay on while theyre not in your ears, so i almost immediately lost one, while transferring it from the case to my ears the battery is good tho, it advertises a 4 hour battery, i got it to last a full 8.5 hour work day - with intermediate charging on my breaks and 1/2 hour lunch (in the battery bank case) the touch controls are horrendous one tap on the right or left earbud raises or lowers the volume respectively, while double tapping either of them pauses/plays highly annoying when trying to raise the volume which resets to almost all the way down every time you turn them on because you raise the volume and pause or go to pause and raise/lower volume it is surprisingly hard to put your finger in the right spot to get the touch to work read the above two lines for that overall, highly disappointed and dissatisfied in skullcandy's Indy Wireless if you want quality skullcandy earbuds try the Smokin Buds 2 or for quality headphones, or get the Uproar Wireless for cheap, reliable headphones; and the Hesh 3 for great mid-tier headphones

I initially intended to use the Skullcandy Indy earbuds as a backup to my OG Apple AirPods, but they quickly became my go-to pair for just about every activity. I figured an $80 pair of earbuds could be the sacrifice play for travel, working out, or mountain biking; better to ruin or lose those than the pricier AirPods. That reasoning aside, the Skullcandy earbuds have proven strong contenders and stayed put throughout biking, running, jumping, burpees, and everything else I put them through. They remained unaffected by sweat or rain - a big plus for a set of workout earbuds. As for sound quality, they're solid performers. Now, if you're a self-proclaimed audiophile and sound critic - these will not impress you. But seriously, if you're expecting impressive, premium quality audio from a pair of $80 earbuds, you're a clown. If you're looking for that optimized frequency response experience, please feel free to throw on a Sennheiser or Bose over-ear headset and knock out your run or Workout of the Day (WOD). For the rest of us, these things kick out pretty decent sound quality - or at least acceptable quality for anyone who's running, working out, or performing other strenuous activities. Not to discount the experiences of other reviewers - I had no issues with pairing or battery life (4+ hours). The left and right earbuds remained linked to each other without fail and paired easily with both my phone and laptop. I used each earbud independently to make and receive phone calls with very good sound quality on both ends.

am a bit of a frugal guy and so I have been dancing around getting a good pair of wireless earbuds for the right (low-mid-ish) price. I tried a few before seeing these at a more than reasonable price of $45 bucks. I was pumped and when I got them in my ears and fired up some music, needless to say I was impressed and glad I had lucked into this purchase. Until the right earbud kept dropping connection/sound. I can't tell you how disappointed I am after experiencing what I would say is really good sound quality, a solid product build, incredible fit/comfort and generally responsive and intuitive control performance. And despite seeing this complaint popping up in a few reviews, I guess I thought I would be one of the lucky ones. I will say that it is incredibly reliable when I'm inside either in my office or at my home, no issues whatsoever. But I do a majority of my listening while biking or out on a walk-about or in the grocery store. So to have the audio cut out CONSISTENTLY with my phone no more than 3 feet away in my pocket is incredibly frustrating. It is most noticeable when I am outside on the street at work, and I think it might have something to do with the environment that I am in, a downtown metropolitan area. Perhaps it's something with the environment/buildings/signal interference, which would suck greatly since I ordered a replacement. Hopefully it's just a faulty pair, I will be updating my review upon further analysis of the replacement pair. Until then, at least one works I guess.. UPDATE: So I have tried a second pair and the problems outlined above plague this set also. I have subsequently purchased a pair of SoundPEATS for about $38.00 and have had significantly less issues with what might be considered an inferior brand. I have experienced two instances of signal interruption, one was literally a split second interruption, the other lasted for several seconds but this is no way comparable to the issues I had with the Sesh buds. For the money, the SoundPEATS are both more reliable and also offer a similar sound quality. What small percentage of bass they are lacking in comparison to the Sesh buds is negligible when faced with the incredibly poor performance Sesh delivers. I would recommend only buying Sesh if you are using them in an enclosed area that isn't inundated with other signals as I am positive that is the issue here. The Sesh buds cannot maintain a solid connection when faced with ambient wireless signals of any significance.

Update: Now I've been using these almost daily for 6 months. Battery life and sound are great. But the wings keep falling off and the fit just doesn't work for me. Every time I move my head they loosen up and if I do anything active like running or working on the house the fall out. Next time I'll be buying airports. Update: I've been using these pretty heavily for a couple months now and I'm impressed. Battery life is awesome! I have yet to use the buds long enough to get low on power and I'only charged the case twice since I got them. I'm using these multiple times sometimes for 2-3 hours at a time nearly every day! Fit is pretty good. Like I said before I have weirdly shaped ears so the right one comes lose a fair bit but compared to any similar products I've tried they are really comfortable and have awesome sounds quality. Definitely worth every penny! I received these yesterday so I will have to write an update in a few months after heavy use. I have been looking for a good set of wireless earbuds for both music and phone calls for a while. I'm an android user and am a little leery of Apple products although I have to admit that I really like the AirPods design. However, I just wasn't ready to pay apple prices. After two really terrible experiences with AirPods knockoffs, I finally found these and figured that at the very least, they won't suck. After all, I've been using wired Skullcandy for probably 20 years and been totally happy with them. These are no different. Out of the box, the charging case is 2/3 charged which is cool because it means you can pair them and try them out right out of the box. They are a little bulkier than AirPods but look really cool. The sound quality is exactly what you would expect from Skullcandy! Great sound, good highs, and lows without buzzing. The fit took me a while to figure out though. I have smaller ear canals than most and these "plug-type" earbuds are always a bit of a pain for me. After some frustration and trial and error, I learned that these aren't really designed to be crammed into your ear canal. Instead, you adjust the rubber piece above so that it catches on your ear cartilage and it sits between that and your ear canal pushing the plug to the canal instead of being stuffed into it. After figuring that out they are super comfortable and sit really easily in my ears without falling out. So far, I'm very satisfied!
